Chapter 19
"Please." He says. His begging eyes were difficult to look away from and as much as I wanted to deny it. I still loved him.
"Can we be friends?" I say and his expression changes; somewhat sad.
"Oh okay." He says and begins to walk away.
"I never said it was forever." I say and he turns back around.
"Do you want to come in?" I ask and he nods.
"Sure." He says and all afternoon we sit on the lounge, talking, eating, and watching movies. The movie 50 first dates finishes and my mother knocks on the door. I shove Jai behind stairs and open the door for my mother. She doesn't like me having friends over.
"Hello. Darling." She says and walks into the kitchen. I run up the stairs with jai and he trips. We contain our laughter as I help him up and run into my bed room. I close the door behind us and we both slump down and sit on the floor in front of the door next to each other, laughing to death.
"That was fun." I say and Jai smiles his amazing bright smile.
"When I said we should just be friends, I never said it was forever. Ask me again." I whisper the last sentence.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks me. I nod and smile. Jai stands up, holds his hand out to help me up, I grab his hand and he pulls me to my feet. I stand up in front of him and he hugs me. We smile at each other and then I grab his hand. We run to the kitchen and we just stand in front of her for a moment.
"Jai. How nice to see you again!" She says and hugs Jai.
"Mum. We are dating again." I say and she hugs us both.
"Aww. Yay." She says. Jai and I look at each other weirdly then throw our attention back to my Mum.
"Celia you should go back to Australia." She says and Jai nods quickly.
"Are you sure?" I say, confused. She's never this nice anymore.
"Yes. Go." She says and I look over at Jai who is still smiling.
"Would that be okay with your mum?" I say to Jai and he pulls out his phone and starts to type really quickly. A minute of randomly standing there and Jai's mum texts back.
"Yeah it's alright with her." He says and I smile.
"Can't wait!" I say.
"Well, go pack your bags." My mother says and we run back up to my room.
"I can't believe she is letting you go." Jai says.
