Chapter 27
"Dinners ready!" Jai's mother calls and we walk into the kitchen to find a nice meal already served and waiting at the table. We sit down and start to eat.
"I've never said this before. But Alana your really good at cooking!" I say and she smiles.
"Thank you Celia." She says. After dinner Jai and I go up to his room and listen to music while chattering away.
"I'm so tired. I think I'm going to bed." I say and kiss him before walking out of his room. I have a shower then go back to my room. I lay in bed and think about Jai for hours. Ever since The X Factor finished he hasn't had that bright smile. His smile looked fake and it hurt.
I checked my phone and it was 1am.
"Crap." I say and try to go to sleep. But I fail. So I listen to music and that eventually sends me to sleep. I listened to Fix You before I went to sleep. That wasn't a good idea. Jai sung that on the first live show. The day that we broke up. I had a horrible dream about never seeing Jai again and jumping off a bridge. Lovely.
In the morning I wake up to find someone shaking me awake.
"Celia. Celia." I hear a sweet boys' voice say. Jai.
"What!" I say and he stands up from sitting on my bed.
"Come with me." He says and he is already dressed while I'm still in my pyjamas.
"Can I get changed first?" I ask.
"Sure." He says with a chuckle and leaves the room. Geez. He's really gotta stop laughing in front of me. It makes him even more cuter and at this point I don't think he can.
I get changed into something other than pyjamas. Red skinny jeans and a random shirt. I put on a coat because it's going to be freezing outside. I walk downstairs to find Jai by the front door.
"Ready?" He asks and I nod.
"Where are we going?" I ask as we walk out of the door and into the cold air.
"You'll see." He says. The sunrise hasn't shown yet and it was darkish. He lead me to the beach where we sat on the sand and talked for a while. We made a few jokes and when I said his old smile was gone, it's back.
"Did I tell you that you're cute when you sleep?" He asks and I sigh.
"Endlessly." I say and he smiles. "Did I tell you that you're adorable when you laugh?"
"Endlessly." He jokes and we both laugh. He leans over and kisses me on the cheek and we both smile as we look into each others eyes.
His eyes.
His smile.
His everything.
Perfect.
"That's the first time you've kissed me at all after we got back together." I say.
"Well you said you wanted to take it slow, just before I left for the tour." He says and I nod.
"Right." I say.
"What?" He asks and I shake my head.
"Nothing." I say and we both look over at the sunrise. It was blue, red, yellow, orange, pink, even purple. Yes, somehow, it was purple.
"It's beautiful." I say and Jai nods.
"It is." He says.
