If Johnny had a little sister
Who ain't so little
Johnny and the gang are a little older, so basically add five years onto their ages now.
I shook my head at Baby, "no, you can't go." I mumbled.
We were laying down at the lot, somewhere I haven't visited since my nineteenth birthday. Baby, my fifteen year old sister, had asked to go to a party. And as usual, I said no.
She pouted, "but I'll be with Curly and Angela!" I rolled my eyes and held her closer to me, "exactly, you ain't goin' to a party with hoods like them."
I could feel her tense, "Angela ain't a hood!"
I wanted to rip my hair out, "but she is a greaser girl," I sighed.
Baby sniffed, "well, I am too! And I'm going to that party!" She pushed me away and stood up from the ripped out back car seats. She stomped away.
I frowned, it wasn't the first time she did that. Ever since she turned ten, she stopped hanging around me and the gang and hung around Angela Shepard and other chicks. Chicks that were mini Sylvia's, the ones who wore tight black shirts to show off their mosquito bite boobs.
She always asks to go to a party, and I tell her no, sometimes she ends up going anyways, she comes back to me drunk and teary eyed.
Alcohol turned ma and dad into monsters while drunk, but it turned Baby into a five year old again.
I sighed. I thought about my old house, the old house that Baby sometimes smelled like. The house that Baby was trapped in for three more years. Luckily, I had left as soon as I turned eighteen, five years before.
I had a job as a bagging person at the store, it paid well enough for me to rent a two bedroom apartment. I didn't have custody of Baby, but she stayed over as much as she could.
I knew from experience, leaving home for more than two months is dangerous, I knew.
Whenever Baby went back to her house, Dally would come over and sleep in her room. I would rather him sleep in a room that doesn't hold my sister's clothing and her other girl stuff, but I ain't gonna kick him out.
I rubbed my eyes and headed towards my beat down apartment, I reckon by the time I wake up, Baby will be right next to me.
I woke up being shaken, "hey Johnny-man," the deep voice whispered, "wake up,"
I rubbed my eyes, "what, Dal?" I looked around, it was so dark I couldn't even see Dally.
He sighed, "Baby's home, go take care of her, she's sobbing up a storm, man," he sat on the edge of the bed.
I felt my heart drop. I should've gotten used to her crying, but I didn't. She's only fifteen and has been partying since she turned thirteen. I wish I could've stopped her from doing that, but she just didn't find me intimidating enough, I wish I was, then she'd listen.
I cringed when I heard her sniffling, I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a tight hug. I think she tried to hug back, but she ended up crying more.
Somehow I always ended up hugging her at the devil's hour. But I don't mind.
"I-I-" she took a deep breath, "I'm sorry Johnny!" She kept her head on my shoulder, and she managed to cry more.
"Now, it's gonna be alright, anything happened at the party?" I always asked her, but at that time nothing ever happened.
She nodded.
I tensed up.
I gulped and let her go, she leaned against a wall. "Your friend, that Two-Bit guy, embarrassed me!" She started crying again.
My eyebrows furrowed.
Two-Bit? That ol' drunk only had the ability to embarrass boys.
A thought came to me.
"The hell did he do?" I asked roughly, Baby tensed and, hell, even I was scared of my tone.
Baby wiped her tears, "I swear I told him to stop! He kept on grabbing me and pulling up my skirt! That shit-head!" She sounded angry rather than sad.
I bit my lip, I never had a problem with Two-Bit, I liked the dude, everyone did. But at that moment I just wanted to give him a living hell.
"Did he do anything else?" I asked, my voice returned back to normal. Baby shook her head, "he just embarrassed me," she managed to calm down, she stood up straight, "I oughta go to bed." She yawned.
I nodded, "alright Baby," I gave her a hug, "I'm sorry," I apologized. She shrugged her shoulders and walked off to her room.
I smiled softly and walked over to my own room, but a realization came to me.
I opened Baby's door. "Dally, get the hell out!"
Dally chuckled and walked out of the room, "she's too young, anyways."
