"Lukey, what's wrong?" I asked and he bit his lip before he did something even I didn't expect.
He closed his eyes and placed his lips on mine.
I felt Luke's lips on mine and out of confusion, I pulled away.
"What...what was that for?" I asked and Luke stared at me, tears filling his blue eyes before he pushed me away and ran out of the bathroom. I stood up and ran after him, making sure he didn't run out of the tour bus. He ran into the kitchen and I saw him pace back and forth. "Luke-"
"Go away!"
"Luke, just-"
"GO AWAY ASHTON!" he yelled and I stared at him.
"If you think I'm going away because you yelled at me, you're wrong."
"Why do you care!? Why do you even fucking care!? You like Calum and that girl that you talked about. You're so oblivious! I swear to God, Ashton, you're so fucking oblivious! I like you! I LIKE YOU, OKAY!? I DON'T WANT TO! I'M SCARED ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK AND THEN I GET THE COURAGE TO ACTUALLY KISS YOU AND SHOW YOU THAT I LIKE YOU AND YOU JUST PUSH ME AWAY! I'M SO FUCKING SCARED ASHTON! AND YOU PROBABLY DON'T EVEN CARE!"
I hated when people yelled at in a consistent, loud voice, so I backed against the refrigerator, feeling small.
"I THOUGHT THAT YOU LIKED ME! I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT YOU HAD SOME SORT OF FEELINGS FOR ME!"
I curled up into a ball, my eyes feeling hot.
"I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE RETURNED MY FEELINGS! BUT HOW STUPID WAS THAT!? THINKING THAT SOMEONE ACTUALLY LIKED ME!? IT WAS STUPID, IDIOTIC, IMPOSSIBLE! IT WAS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE!"
I placed my hands over my heard to block Luke out, yet he still continued yelling.
"STOP!" I screamed as hot tears rolled down my face, falling onto my knees. "S-stop yelling at me!" I sobbed into my knees as I kept my ears covered.
I felt a presence in front of me and kept my eyes squeezed shut. Someone grabbed my wrists and pulled them away from my ears, placing them at my sides. I still kept my eyes shut.
"Hey, Ash?" Luke asked and I refused to open my eyes. "Ashton, I'm s-sorry," his voice cracked and I felt something drop onto my knee that wasn't one of my tears. I looked up at Luke and saw him with red eyes. He still looked beautiful though.
Did you just call Luke beautiful?
I ignored the voice.
"Ashton, I'm sorry for yelling. I know how much you hate that," he apologized. "I shouldn't have gotten so worked up. I just...I just thought-"
"I don't like Calum," I whispered and he looked down at me. "There was no girl I had a crush on."
"But, I thought..."
"She was an exact replica of you. Blonde hair, blue eyes."
"That could've been anyone, Ash."
"I know, I just...I was hoping you'd never figure out."
"Figure what out?"
"That I...l-liked you," I choked out and Luke stared at me. "I hung out with Calum so much, mostly to make you jealous, but also because I wanted to forget I had actual feelings for you."
"I'm scared too," Luke muttered. "I don't know if anyone's going to accept me..."
"I'm sorry for making you mad," I whispered and Luke sighed.
"I'm sorry for yelling."
There was a long, settling silence as I looked down at my knees and sniffled. My tears were completely dry and I heard Luke sigh.
"Hey Ash?"
I didn't look up or answer. Oh God, what if he hates me now?
A finger lightly tucked under my chin and lifted my head up to look in Luke's blue eyes. He was smiling softly at me.
"Hey, Ash, it's okay," he muttered and I sniffled.
"What if it's not?"
"Can I..can I do something, Ash?"
"Yeah...?" I trailed off and Luke leaned in, capturing his lips with mine. Instead of pulling away, I closed my eyes and felt Luke lean into me. He cupped my face and leaned in more, softly moving his lips against mine. My heart started beating a thousand miles an hour and I kissed him back, never wanting this moment to end. It was...well...it was perfect. He pulled away and stared at me. I stared back and he smiled, resting his forehead against mine.
"God, that was perfect," he muttered and I felt my cheeks heat up.
"Was it?" I asked and he grinned widely.
"Yes, it was very, very perfect." He giggled and I smiled even wider. "Ashton-"
Right at that moment, Calum walked in. He stared at us before a smile broke out onto his face.
"I'll just leave you guys." He slowly backed out of the kitchen area and I looked back at Luke.
"What were you going to say?" I asked.
"What?" Luke looked at me confused.
"What were you going to say before Calum interrupted?"
Luke blushed.
"Um, I was...well...I was sort of...kind of-well, you see, I was um..." He took a deep breath. "Do you maybe wanna...be...mine?"
A deep blush erupted on my cheeks and I almost gasped.
Did Luke just ask me out?
Yes you idiot, say no.
Why?
Because, you're going to end it, remember?
Maybe I don't want to anymore.
You fucking idiot-
I completely ignored the voice and smiled at Luke.
"Yes, I'll be your's."
Luke smiled extremely wide and pressed his lips to mine again. I mean, I wasn't complaining, I loved his lips against mine.
Stop ignoring me!
GO AWAY!
And it did.
"Do you wanna tell the boys?" Luke asked as he pulled away and I nodded as he helped me up, his hand finding mine. I smiled and bit my lip. I was finally able to call Luke mine. We walked into the living are where Calum and Michael were playing video games.
"Guys," I whispered, and they didn't budge.
"Guys," Luke said a little louder. They still didn't move.
"Guys!" I said in a stern tone. No response.
"GUYS!" Luke and I yelled at the same time and Michael jumped so high he literally fell off of the couch.
Calum looked over at us, then our entangled hands, then back up at us.
"Michael, get up!" he whispered and Michael jumped up, looking at us.
There was a little bit of silence before Michael squealed like a little girl. Literally.
"Oh my God, you guys are finally together, I'm so happy, agh!" The funniest thing was, he wasn't even joking around as he pranced around the tour bus.
"Are you okay, Mikey?" I asked and he settled down.
"Yeah, I'm just really really happy." Luke looked over at me and smiled.
"Me too."
