Kaitlyn's POV

I woke up and Shawn was still sleeping. I got out of bed and walked downstairs. I saw Kysha eating breakfast. She greeted me and I smiled. I opened the fridge and saw we were out of juice. I closed the door and turned to Kysha.

"Do you want to go to the store with me when youre done eating?" I asked. She nodded.

When she was done she washed out her bowl. I wrote a note for Shawn as she put her shoes on. I stuck it to the fridge. Kysha and I walked out and got in the car, driving to the store.

Shawn's POV

I woke up and Kaitlyn wasn't next to me. I panicked and ran to the babies room. They were sound asleep. I ran down the stairs and went into the kitchen I looked at the fridge to see if she left me a note.

I'm sorry I left without telling you. I didn't want to wake you up. I opened the fridge looking for juice and I couldn't find any. There isn't much food in there so I decided to go to the store. Text me when you wake up. I love you!
-Katie

I pulled out my phone and clicked on her contact. I texted her that I was up. She quickly responded and told me to wake the twins up. I ran upstairs and woke the twins up. I let them play on the floor while I got the boosters ready. I made some rice cereal and put it into a little bowl. I got out a spoon. I pulled out my phone again.

To Katie

Can you buy baby spoons and bibs and all the stuff that comes along with the twins not eating formula anymore.

I saw that she read it so I put my phone away. I went upstairs and grabbed the twins. I went back downstairs and put them in the high chairs. I strapped each of them in and grabbed the bowl. I started feeding them. The food would fall out of their mouths and onto their chins. I would take the spoon and scoop it up, putting the food back in their mouth. I repeated that many times, the bowl almost being knocked out of my hand more than once by the twins flinging arms.

My mind was wandering as I cleaned everything up. Then I stopped. I looked at the twins. Kaitlyn's birthday was coming up. I put down the rag I was cleaning with and sat on the couch. What could I get Kaitlyn for her birthday? I mean maybe I could write her a song, but I feel like nothing I do will show enough appreciation for her birth. I'm gunna have to sleep on it.

_____

Kaitlyn's POV

"I did not get enough sleep yesterday," I stated, yawning. We were finishing loading up the car.

"Do you need me to drive?" Kysha asked. I shook my head.

"No, I'll be okay."

We started driving. I kept yawning. I rubbed my eyes. I turned on some music to try to keep myself awake.

"Kaitlyn!" Kysha exclaimed. I looked up and fear filled my body as our car was rushing towards another car coming our way. The world seemed to slow down and I realized that we weren't driving into oncoming traffic, the person in front of us was. My life flashed before my eyes. My head went flying towards the windshield and I blacked out as the car spun around.

_____

Shawn's POV

I was cleaning up the house. Something felt off. A sense of danger. My immediate thought was Kaitlyn. I put down my rag and called her. The phone rang and rang and rang. She didn't pick up so I called again. She didn't answer. I started to panic. What if something happened. I called one more time. I heard someone pick up but it wasn't Kaitlyn and it wasn't Kysha.
