Jessica's POV

I sat on the couch waiting for Luke. I can wait to see his reaction when I'm speaking again. I have so much gratitude for Kaitlyn right now.

"Jess," I heard someone yell I turned my head to that direction. I smiled and stood up. I lightly jogged over to him and embraced him in a hug. My stomach burned.

"I love you, Luke," I whispered in his ear. He pushed me out of the hug to look at me. The color had drained from his face.

"Did-was that you?" Luke asked. I smiled.

"Yep," I said, popping the 'p'. His face lit up and his eyes turned from a sky blue to an almost neon blue as he attacked me in a hug. He lifted me up and spun me in circles. I giggled and he put me down, pulling away from the hug and smashing his lips to mine. I kissed back.

"You're voice is like a thousand angels singing as they come down from heaven," Luke said after he pulled away. I giggled. "How's you get it back? Didn't they take your vocal chords out?" I nodded.

"It's a long story," I said, sitting on the couch. He sat next to me. I explained everything from when I texted him to when I spoke.

"Wow," Luke said. I nodded. "Kaitlyn tells me you're good at singing." Luke said. I laughed, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah, I just don't usually sing that loud in front of anyone but her and my friends," I looked down.

"I'm your friend," Luke stated, smirking. I looked at him.

"Hold on, I'm going to go to the bathroom. Then come back and I will sing for you." I stood up and jogged over to the bathroom. I did vocal exercises. I haven't sung anything for 6 months and haven't had the ability to for about one of those 6. I walked out of the bathroom and back over to Luke. Luke smiled at me and I bit my lip. I gave a crooked smile before starting to sing.

"One day/when I came home/at lunchtime/I heard a funny noise/went out/to my backyard/to see if/it was one of those rowdy boy's/I stood there/with my neighbor/called Peter/and a Flux Capacitor/He told me he built a time machine like one in a film I've seen/he said 'I've been to the year 3000/not much as changed but we live underwater/And your great great great granddaughter/is pretty fine," I sang. I looked at Luke, who was smiling.

"He took me/to the future/in the flux thing/and I saw everything/Boy bands/ and another one/and another one/and another one," I stayed quiet moving my knee to the beat of the music. Luke laughed. "We drove around in a time machine like one in a film I've seen/He said I've been to the year 3000/not much has changed but we live underwater/and your great great great granddaughter/ is pretty fine." I sighed "I do not want to finish this song,"I said.

"You don't have to. Kaitlyn was right. You do have a great voice," Luke said. I nodded. "You don't talk much anyway, do you?" I shook my head.

"Unless it's about my fandoms," I said. He chuckled. "I could probably go on blabbing for an hour just on your nose," I said honestly. Kaitlyn walked over to us.

"Jessica, have you eaten anything but that little bit of ice cream today?" She asked me. I looked down. I felt her hand pull me up and away from Luke. I bit the inside of my lip.

We walked to a fast food place near where Shawn's concert was going to be and she bought me some food. We walked back and she sat me down on the couch.

"Eat," Kaitlyn ordered.

"You're mean," I crossed my arms.

"No, this is me trying to help you not starve yourself," Kaitlyn said. Luke walked up behind Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn turned around and handed the other bag to Luke.

"Oooh, thanks," Luke said. He opened up the bag and started eating the food quickly. I looked down at the food. I put the burger in my mouth. That's actually a good burger. I took another bite. I got half way done with the burger and set it down.

"What's wrong?" Luke asked. Kaitlyn had gone.

"I'm just full," I said. Luke looked at me.

"Why are you starving yourself? You need to eat," Luke said. I sighed and looked up, blinking back tears. I looked back at Luke, who was moving his food so he could sit next to me.

"Let's just say I have a bad history of boyfriends," I chuckled, letting the tears in my eyes fall. "Before Luca I had a boyfriend named Zach. He told me I was fat." I bit my lip "Then he flirted with these girls that's waists were pretty much the size of their necks in front of me. He broke it off there," I said. Luke gave me a side hug.

"I would never call you fat, because, well you're not. I would never flirt with anyone but you, I would never cheat on you, and I would never try to sever your vocal chords." Luke chuckled. I smiled at him. "Now eat," he said, picking up the burger and putting it in my mouth. I chuckled and took a bite out of the burger. He pretty much fed me the rest of my food.

"There, you happy?" I asked Luke as I ate my last fry.

"Are you hungry?" Luke asked. I looked down, but a pair of fingers pushed my head up from under my chin. He repeated the question, looking me in the eyes.

"Yes," I said, honestly. He handed me what was left of his food. I smiled at how nice he was being to me. "Thank you," I said, shoving the food in my mouth. He smiled. I finished the food and Kaitlyn came back over. I leaned my head on Luke's chest.

"Oh good, you finished it," Kaitlyn said.

"And 3/5 of my meal," Luke said. I could hear the smile through his voice. Kaitlyn's eyes widened.

"Are you still hungry?" Kaitlyn asked. I shook my head. "Okay, if you get hungry, tell me. I'll get you some food. Luke, you know where the food is, help yourself to any of it." Kaitlyn ran off. And I curled up with Luke as he played with snapchat.
