Chapter 3

I teleport behind him and go to kick him but he teleports before I can. He tries to grab me from behind and I use the same trick I did on Stephen. I flip over him and teleport him to mid air the back to the ground. He falls to the ground. He jumps up and I smile. I hear Russell to say "This just in-ter-est-ing."

John tries to push me back using force, he holding out his hands and pushes power towards me. I hold up my hands as well. He pushes more power towards me, I start to spread my arms. He pushes more power towards me.

I laugh. I spread my arms all the way, creating a ball of power, then say "Gotcha." I fire it at John. He flies up and backwards. I pause time and teleport next to him then resume time to ensure he doesn't hit his head. I hold out my hand and he takes it.

He laughs and says "Your more powerful than I remember."

"Years of practice." I smile.

Russell high fives me and says excitedly "John, you got whipped."

Jon just laughs. I sit on one of the sofa chairs. Cara asks in an irritated voice "How did you do that?"

I shrug it off. "One of my abilities."

"You can also stop time. Are you sure you were born like this?"

Now I am getting angry. I stand up and say "I don't have to read your mind to know what your thinking. You think I am lying, I don't know what your implying but stop because its getting annoying now."

Stephen says "Amy, Cara isn't implying anything."

I can see it now, he likes her. "This is what I was talking about, not defending me. It clear as ever that she thinks I am lying about my past and I would advise you not to try and get inside my head unless I say so."

A voice comes over the room. "Amy."

"Tim" I look towards John. "You stole Tim from ULTRA?"

Cara asks "How do you know Amy, Tim?"

"Amy is my creator."

Irene says "You made Tim."

"Yeah, when I was about 8. I messed around with some circuits and suddenly he spoke."

Russell asks "Why the name Tim?"

"I was 8 and Tim was an easy name to say and remember. My Dad took my designs and made a bigger version."

Irene explains the mechanics behind it which I understand but no one else seems to. She finishes with "Impressive."

"Finally someone who speaks the language."

Russell asks "Did that just happen?"

I spend the next two hours discussing Tim with Irene. Then head back to Aunt Marla's. We get in and she is in the kitchen. She comes out to us and says "Amy, I have set up the sofa for you. Tomorrow we will arrange something better. Goodnight."

She heads upstairs and so does Stephen. I change into my PJ's and then check my phone. I have a text from Dad saying 'Goodnight.'

I reply 'Night Dad.' I put my phone on charge then get in bed and fall asleep instantly.

I wake at 5am and get a drink. I check my email and then read my book.

At about 7, Aunt Marla comes downstairs and asks "Morning, how did you sleep?"

"Alright, woke up about 5. Time difference."

"You will get use to it."

An hour later, I am dressed and leaving with Steve. We arrive at ULTRA and walk into the computer part. A man, a year older than me, comes over and says "Amy, Amy Price."
