Mostly originates
From words in my mouth
I also refer to this as
Surface Conversations
You know the type
Basic small talk
Ready reference answers
Business and scheduling
So much information
That is essential
To get passed to others
These are the words that reside
In my mouth ready for action
As necessary day and night
But what I long for
Are the conversations
That come from deeper places
Like words that come
Deep from within heart
Whispered from a pillow
Or creatively sparked
From a brain firing
On all cylinders
Conversations that have
No beginning or end
Because the words flow
Synthesizing and energizing
New ideas to discuss
Or debate over a bottle of wine
Even a text or email
Interaction can cause
Words to bubble up from deeper
Only talking from the
Words in my mouth
Makes me feel depressed, bored
Challenge me
Inspire me to generate
The words I want to set free
And I will listen and respond
And encourage you to
Use words other than from your mouth
