I do enjoy winter, especially when there is snow.
Yesterday we had a snowstorm, but not a windy, blustery mess.
But a beautiful snowfall. The kind that each individual snowflake rests delicately on the surface it touches.
Building layer by layer and staying where it lands.
So gentle and quiet that everything gets painted in a layer of white, cold, glittering magic.
The wind is still, 24 hours later, and this amazing frozen wonderland is absolutely breathtaking.
The birds are here gathering seeds, fluttering so gently the snow is still lightly mounded on the top of the feeders.
These are winter moments to cherish. And I am enjoying taking it all in.
