Poisoned Darts

(Dayu's POV)

It's early in the morning.

Later in the noon, General Zong and his entourage will leave the camp to South in Hubei where they are planning to build a new military base there.

General Liuwie, my next target will be in that group. It will be the perfect scenario for me to end his life.

But I have different matter in my mind as I slip inside my uncle's office.

Uncle Shu was inside, as well as another man. The man, wearing the helper's uniform nod at me.

"Master Dayu," he said as he stood on the side of my uncle's table.

I look at my uncle, "I really should protest about this. I am feeling insulted. You have this bozo, following me with an order to protect me in case something happens. This bozo?!"

"Master Dayu," Luau, a trainee of my uncle gave me a hurt look. I raise my fist to threaten him with a solid smack but he flinch away.

I sighed and lower my fist, "Why did you call me Uncle?"

Uncle Shu gave me a grave look, "You are aware that a new pair of eyes are following you, right?"

I nodded, "Yes. I think the Master General doesn't trust General Wang's spy so he ask another one to keep an eye on me. Why, I am not sure,"

Three sets of eyes. One from General Wang. Another from my uncle, I glare at Luau. And a new one. Captain Wei's second in command is also keeping an eye on me.

I am starting to feel irritated. I just hope they are not hovering outside Captain Wang's cabin when I sleep there at night. Listening to us making love...

That would be just disgusting and making all the fine hairs on my body stand up.

And I am an assasin who moves in the dark to kill people. That's how creeped out I am with the thought that someone is spying on me and my lover while we sleep.

"Are you alarmed?" Uncle Shu said.

I sneered, "For what? They can suspect all they want. As long as Captain Wang is unaware about me and he is still including me in his plan to move. I am in the right frame of mind to finish my work here fast and move with Captain Wang in Beijing..."

Uncle Shu nodded, looking a bit relieved. "Don't hesitate to move even if you are still not done here. Captain Wang's intention to take you away from here is making him endear himself to me. Finally, a Wang doing something to make me happy,"

"Uncle," I groan. My Uncle is not letting go of his dream for me to abandon my revenge to go with Captain Wang and live a peaceful life with my lover. "I will not leave until General Zong and General Wang are still breathing. I intend to end their lives."

Uncle Shu continued to stare at me gravely, "You will leave when Captain Wang says you will leave. You will leave bacause I will tell you to leave. Me and Captain Wang wanting the same thing, albeit for different reasons, takes away your freedom to choose. Will you really upset yout lover and make him wait or leave for Beijing alone?"

I am not liking my uncle right now. "That is why I am thankful that I have at least one more week to do my jobs here before we can leave. I can do that in that time Uncle. Today, one more will go down and will cease to be our problem,"

After today, General Liuwie will be dead. Tomorrow it will be General Zong, then lastly General Wang.

Captain Wang wanting to transfer will be an advantage to me. After I killed his father, leaving this place and having a new yet familiar surroundings for him will help Captain Wang to recover from his sadness from his father's death.
