(Jiang's POV)

Mei regained conciousness after almost an hour of sleeping. He moaned first, then open his eyes.

I was sitting on the bed beside him as he tried focusing while waking up.

"What...where?" Clearly still disoriented I helped him to sit up.

He looked at me puzzledly. "Captain Jiang..." his eyes full of question.

Then they widened, "Uncle Shu! Dayu!" Mei tried to get down from the bed but I stopped him.

"Dayu was taken on the prison cell. He is heavily guarded. Your uncle was taken to the cold house. I bribed people to not bury him yet but keep him cool..."

Mei's eyes filled with tears again. I hug him to me. But he doesn't cry again. His mind is busy planning for his next moves.

"I have to get them both out of here. Dayu will want to bury Uncle Shu with me. I want that too..." he said with his tone choking a bit in tears.

I nodded and started running my hand on his back to calm him a little, "There is a helper dressed as a soldier looking for you. I think he is your uncle's assitant."

"Luau!" Mei pushed me away. "Is he still here?" He tried getting up again and this time I didn't stop him.

I went to the door to let the helper waiting outside to come in. "Master Mei," the helper looked lost.

"Where are the other trainees?" I asked him immediately.

Luau sniffed, "Some were captured but most of us escaped. I got this uniform and pose as a soldier. Everyone on the base are frantic right now, no one is thinking straightly. The whole base is in shock. Master Dayu was dragged in the prison. And Master Shu..." Luau voice broke.

Mei held the helper's shoulder tightly, "Heads up Luau. We will be of no use to Dayu if we will let our emotions ovettake us. We have to think, Uncle Shu always told us that..."

Luau nodded and noisily wipe his eyes and nose, "Yes Master Mei. Master Dayu..."

"Get a message across for me. Governor Feng had to know about our situation here. I need people to take Dayu and Uncle Shu from here..."

"The Governor is in the forest as we speak Master Mei," Luau said.

Mei looked surprise, "Already? How..."

"I don't know too but he suddenly appeared. Asking for Master Shu..." Luau choked when tears threatened to overwhelm him again.

Mei nodded, "Then I have to meet with him to appraise him of the situation..."

"Yes Master Mei..." Luau bowed. "I will go out first to tell the Governor that you will follow to meet with him,"

"Thank you Luau," Mei said and the helper left.

Mei looked at me, "Captain Jiang..."

"I will come with you," I said befor he can say more after my name.

"But Captain..."

"I will come with you Mei. I will not leave you in this state. You are still in shock," I argue with him.

Mei turn silent for moments before he nodded his agreement. We got ready. Taking our swords before we left my cabin.

There is still light. But the whole camp feels tension filled and gloomy. The shock of knowing that the Camp Commander is a former assasin and that he killed the Master General and tried to kill General Wang reigned in every soldier on the camp.
