The gang and Evelyn are sitting where they always sit, eating their lunch.
"Who saw Yuma belly flop in swim class?" Bronk asked.
"Everybody." Flip replied.
Everybody started talking. But Evelyn.
"Tori. Do you have any food you're not going to eat?" Evelyn asks.
"Um... sure." Tori hands her some food.
"How come you don't have any food?" Asks Tori.
"I don't know. For some reason there isn't a lot of food in the house."
"How come?" Tori asks.
"I don't know. My mom's working over time. There should be lots of food in the house. But there isn't. I don't understand!" Evelyn shouts.
Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at her.
"Evelyn? What don't you understand?" Yuma asks.
"I don't understand where our moneys going!"
".... I don't know what to tell you." Said Yuma.
"..... It's fine."
They remain silent.
Just then the bell rang. They pack up there stuff and head back to class.

"Oh man! I totally flunked that test!" Yuma said.
"You flunked because you don't study." Evelyn says.
"That is so not true!" Yuma yells.
"Really?" Evelyn says.
"Ok. Maybe it is." Yuma admits.
Yuma and Evelyn are walking home together. Silence falls over them. Then Yuma breaks the silence.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Yuma asks.
Evelyn stops and looks at him.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"From the way you were acting at school." He explains.
"I said I'm fine. I'm just hungry."
"Then invite your family to eat with us tonight. We won't mind."
"Yuma.... Thanks."
"No problem. Well, since you're coming, I better tell my grandma." Yuma starts running ahead.
"See you Yuma!"
"See you there!"
Evelyn keeps walking. Past Yuma's house and onward.
Finally she reaches her house. She walks in and called for anybody inside.
"In the kitchen." Raven called.
She walks to the kitchen.
"Yuma invited us to his house for dinner tonight."
"Oh. Thank his soul."
Evelyn puts her bag on a nearby chair.
"Is there anything I have to do before we go?"
"If you could wash the dishes that would be a great help."
"Ok. Just let me change."
Evelyn heads to her room and changes into her normal blue shirt with a logo on it, her blue jean shorts, and her black shoes. She puts her leather black glove in her pocket. After she heads back downstairs.
She starts washing the dishes. It takes her a couple of minutes.
When she's done she puts on her glove and sits with her mother at the table.
"How was your day?" Raven asks.
"It was ok."
Evelyn pulls out her deck, and looks at her cards.
"When's Dan coming home?"
"I expect soon."
Evelyn sighs.
"I'm sorry Evelyn. I know it's hard."
"No you don't. You don't have a brother or sister. So don't try telling me you know how I feel."
"Evelyn..."
