Chapter #19

Evelyn manages to stand, shaking.

"I draw! You might as well stay on the ground. I summon Wrath Spider! (ATK 1200, level 4.) You take more damage!"

She's hit again, getting shocked. (2200 life points.) Again she screams, and collapses. Her clothes getting ripped and burned some places.

The kids gasp.

"Noo!" Tony yelled. "Please! Get up!"

He lays there groaning.

The boss laughs.

"I guess I won." He said.

"N-No."

"What?"

Evelyn slowly and shakily got onto her knees.

"Hurry and.....finish your turn." She groaned.

"As you wish. Next I'm allowed to summon Rock Spider because you have a monster with 2000 attack points. (Level 4.)"

Evelyn's hit again. (1800 life points.) She braces herself with her hands.

"I....don't know....how much...more I can take."

She looks up panting heavily. She gasps.

"You...have two monsters that are level 4."

"Yes. And I'm going to overlay them. I Xyz summon Nightmare Drift Spider! (ATK 2600.)"

She's hit again. (1400 life points.) She's shocked longer this time. She screams.

The kids look away. The adults smirk. She stops screaming.

"Why.....? Why was that....shock longer?"

"The longer the duel, the longer the shocks." He explained with a smirk. "I end my turn."

"I....draw. I activate the spell, Remember Me. I can summon a....dragon type monster form my graveyard. But it loses....it's attack points. No matter. I bring back Twin Dragon 2. Next I activate the spell Level Addition. I....add the levels of my dragon type monsters and they both become the sum of the levels. 4 plus 4 is 8. They become....level 8."

"Oh no!"

"I overlay Twin Dragon 1 and 2 to build the overlay network. I Xyz summon the destroyer of worlds, the ultimate monster of space! Galaxy Eyes Cosmos Dragon!"

Evelyn stands as she gets hit and Galaxy Eyes appears on the field. (1000 life points.)

"That's.....that's giant!" The blonde guy said.

"It has 3000 attack points!" The brown haired guy said.

"Attack Galaxy Eyes! Cosmos Strike of Destruction!"

"I activate Nightmares special ability! It isn't destroyed, but I still take damage. (3300 life points.)"

He's thrown in the air and lands on his back. He gets up and looks at Evelyn. She's panting heavily, hunched over.

"I place....one..card face down and end...my turn." She's shocked and she groans.

"I draw! I play a spell. For every overlay unit on the field, my monster gains 400 attack points. (ATK 3700.) Now attack Galaxy Eyes!"

The spider shoots a web at Galaxy Eyes and it's destroyed. (300 life points.)

Evelyn is thrown backwards by the wind. She lands on her side and rolls a few feet. As she lays there, she's shocked.

"I can't take anymore."

"I place one card face down. Your turn if you can."

She rolls over onto her other side and looked at the kids. They were crying.

"I'm going to let them down."

She got to her knees, then one. She got to her feet, panting, sweating, shaking.

"I dr...." She collapsed. She couldn't stand. Her legs felt like jelly. She was so tired. The shocks got to much.

He kids screamed in fear.

"Nooo!" Tony yelled.

"Tony.....I'm so sorry." She muttered.

She closed her eyes and listened to the disappointed mutters of the kids.

"I can't go on."
