They took them into a bigger room filled with equipment and more kids."Why do you even need kids anyway?" Evelyn asked.
"Because we need workmen." A tall guy with a toothpick in his mouth walk out in front of them.
"I got that, but why?"
"My company got shut down. The products we made became banned. So, the workmen quit fearing going to jail. But we still had customers that want our product. So, we took kids from the street. No one would miss them. No harm done."
Evelyn got angry.
"You can't just take kids from anywhere!"
"Shut it girly."
"But you can't!"
"I said shut it!
She did.
"Now down to business. We have some rules. You work. No breaks, unless I say so."
"What exactly are we making?" Evelyn asked.
"These." He holds out 3 metal balls. Then they turned into spiders and Evelyn's eyes widen.
"We can't make those!"
"Oh. So you know what they are. Good. So then you also know what happens when you disobey any rules. Which also includes no talking back or attitude." He reached for Evelyn's wrist and snapped one on.
She winced as it shocked her some. She groaned as he leaned over to whisper in her ear.
"We don't get to punish the kids so much. So when we do, you'll get punished too."
Her heart stopped. He leaned away and reached for the ropes. The other men took the ropes off the kids that had bracelets on.
"Oh. And the perimeter is electrocuted by the bracelets. So don't think about escaping. Now get to work."
They slowly started to work.
*******
"Are you kidding me!?" Kite yelled.
"No Kite. It's true." Yuma said.
"Why are you here then?"
"We were hoping you could help us locate her." Yuma says.
"How am I suppose to do that?"
"I don't know. Something."
"I can try. But I don't think I'll be able to find anything. Do you know if she has a duel disk or gazar on her?" Asked Kite.
"No, I don't know."
"Great." Kite said sarcastically. "I'll see what I can do. Now go."
Yuma nodded and turned to the door.
Before they Dan and Yuma told each other to meet at the hospital, so that's where Yuma heads.
When he gets there he looks for the room Raven's in. He finds it. The door was cracked open. He looked inside and saw Raven crying and Dan holding her.
"I-It was my fault!" Raven sobbed.
"No mom. It wasn't."
"I should have done something to help her."
"Maybe. But I don't think it would've worked. She's stubborn."
"You might be right. But you might be wrong."
"Mom...."
Yuma backed away from the door and leaned on the wall with a sigh.
"I think this was my fault. I should have been a better friend."
