Chapter #17

"Kite! She has a duel gazar with her! Now you can track her!" Yuma shouted as he ran into a room.

"What!? Really!?"

"Yeah. She called me."

"Alright. But I need you to try and call her. It doesn't matter if she picks up." Kite turns to his console and monitors.

Yuma calls her.

They are still asleep but Evelyn. She knew what time it was, and soon they would be woken up. Then her gazar started ringing. She frantically looked for it.

"What in the world is that?"

She recognized that voice. It was the blonde guy.

"No, no, no." She got it and tried to turn it off.

"I almost got her location." Kite said.

Kite was trying hard to locate her. Evelyn was trying hard to shut off her gazar. She was scared she would get caught she was fumbling it.

Footsteps where by the door.  Evelyn turned it off but to late. The door swung open revealing the boss and blond guy.

"What was that!?" The boss yelled.

He looked around. He caught Evelyn's gaze.

"You? What do you have!?"

Her hands were in her lap, clutching her gazar.

He got impatient and walked over to her and grabbed her arm and pulled her up. She put her hand behind her back.

"What's in your hand!?"

She closed her eyes and kept her arm behind her back. Some of the kids were waking up.

"What's going on?" Tony asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"None of your business! Now show me what you have in your hand!"

"Alright! I have a duel gazar!" She yelled back.

"A duel gazar!"

"Yeah! She can duel!" Tony said.

"Oh really? Well I bet I'm better then her."

"I bet you're not." Evelyn said. "I challenge you to a duel."

"You challenge me? I'll wipe the floor with you."

"If you think you can win that easily then if I win, you let me, and the other kids go and you shut down forever." Evelyn offered.

"Fine. But if I win I don't let anybody go and you, you are mine."

She got scared when he said that. But she had to try.

"Deal."

"Where did the signal go!?" Kite yelled.

"What happened?" Yuma asked.

"I didn't get her full location. I got an area that she could in."

"Sorry. She hung up. I guess we called at the wrong time. But now we can find her. Let's go."

Yuma starts for the door, but before he leaves he looks back at Kite. He was looking down with his eyes closed, facing away from the door.

"Kite. Aren't you coming?"

"I can't."

"What!? She's your best friend. You can't leave her."

"I'm sorry. Things are complicated. Go without me."

"But Kite..."

"I said go!"

Yuma stood there for a second before he left.

"At least Dan is coming."

Evelyn and the boss went into the working room. They both activate their duel disks. The boss puts his gazar on and Evelyn's appeared on her face. They both drew 5 cards.

"Let's duel!" They both say.

"You are going to wish you were never born girl!"

"I already do. Please hurry Yuma."

"Oh, and you're going to get shocked during this duel."

"But that's not fair!" Tony yelled.

"Zip it kid!"

"I can do this. I duelled like this before. But not for the whole duel, and I barely lasted that time. How am I going to last this time? I'm doomed."

He saw the fright on her face and he started laughing.
