After a great dinner Evelyn and her family head home. Evelyn was walking in the back, glaring at Dan, the whole way home.
Raven walks inside, Dan was about to but Evelyn grabbed his arm, turning him around.
"Something wrong Ever Green?" He asks.
"N-No. I was wondering if you wanted to duel? We haven't duelled in a while."
"Oh. Yeah. Sure."
"You don't have to because you did duel Yuma already today."
"No. It's fine. If you want to duel, then let's duel." Dan agreed.
They take their marks, and take out their duel disks. Dan got out his duel gazar and Evelyn's appeared on her face.
"Let's duel!" They say, drawing their 5 cards.
"I am going to figure out what's going on Daniel."
"How about you go first, brother." Evelyn suggests. Feeling angry inside.
"Sure." He draws a card. "First off I'll activate a spell card. If there are no monsters on the field and none in our graveyards, I can summon two lizard monsters."
Two red lizards appear on the field.
"But the fun doesn't stop there. As you can tell they are both level 3. So, I build the overlay network to Xyz summon, Giant Frill Lizard (ATK 2000)!"
I giant, lime green lizard, with spikes on it's back, and gold eyes appears on the field.
"Love this monster. Remember it Ever Green?" Dan asked.
"Yup. I do." Evelyn replied, slightly annoyed.
"I place one card face down and end my turn. Your turn. Let's see what you got."
"I have lots! I draw! (Summons a dragon, then uses a spell to summon another one. They both are level 8.) I build the overlay network to Xyz summon! A destroyer of worlds! The ultimate monster of space, Galaxy Eyes Cosmos Dragon!"
A white, and a bit of blue dragon appears on the field, roaring.
"Oh man. Haven't seen Galaxy Eyes in a while." Dan said.
"Yeah? Did you miss it?" Evelyn asks.
"Not really." He replied.
"I place one card face down and end my turn."
"I draw! I activate a spell! My lizard monster gains 300 attacks points for every overlay unit on the field. There are 4, so my monster gains 1200 attacks points. (3200 attack points.)"
Evelyn growls under her breath.
"Attack Galaxy Eyes, Frill Lizard!"
"I activate Galaxy Eyes special ability! My monster gains 500 attack points for every face down card you have on the field! Since you have one card face down, Galaxy Eyes gains 500 attack points. (3500 ATK points.) Your monster loses this battle!"
Galaxy Eyes prepares to attack. The attack hits and Frill Lizard is gone.
Dan has 3700 life points.
"I forgot Galaxy Eyes special ability. But that reminded me. I place one card face down and end my turn."
"I draw! I use Galaxy Eyes special ability! You have 2 face down cards, so Galaxy Eyes gains 1000 attack points. (4500 attack points.) Now attack Daniel directly!"
Galaxy Eyes prepares another attack.
"I activate a trap! The damage I take is cut in half! (1450 life points.)"
Galaxy Eyes attacks Dan and he's thrown backwards and hits the ground grunting.
"How does it feel Dan!?" Evelyn yelled at him.
"What?" He asks getting up.
"Are you hiding something!?"
"Why would you think that?"
"Because you have been skipping work to hangout with Cari, haven't you!?" She yelled.
Daniel takes a second to reply.
