DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALL PURLEY BASED ON OPINION, AND THE PARTS WHERE EVIDENCE IS PROVEN, ILL STATE IT OUT. AND BEFORE I SAY ANYTHING, I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I LOVE 5H but seriously think they are treated like shit.
5H will be used as an example in this rant as their label is who I have most evidence of.
First, what IS a record label?
Record label, or otherwise known as a recording company is a trademark/brand that markets and advertises music of artists they have signed under their label.They manage the artists, distribute the music of different formats such as video, audio, etc. But mainly they just manage the artists.
Before reading the rest of this long rant, just get this drilled in your mind that record labels do not CARE about anything except money. Know this. Believe this.

Fifth Harmony Partnership:
Camila was not part of the fifth harmony partnership deal, and that means that everyone in the group knew that before their album 7/27 was released (around April 2016) that Camila was not going to be in fifth harmony anymore. Even though the document does not have anything to do with Camila leaving the band, it would make sense for four of the five to buy the trademark if they knew Camila was leaving.
There are now three options
1) C was being offered a contract to be a solo artist and did not know about the partnership.
2)C was offered to be a part of the partnership but she rejected it
3) C was offered to choose between being part of the partnership or being a solo artist and she chose to be a solo artist.
I honestly think that C was not ever offered to be part of the partnership. Do you seriously think that C's rep and manager and attorney would reject a partnership offer that would make them tons of more money? C was chosen by the label to go solo as part of a business plan that was carefully plotted out by the label, not by Camila.
But still, don't hate on me. I personally do think she DID want to go solo. But remember how she was like she didn't want her 'beef' with the group to end in THAT way? She probably meant it by this.
Now since C is a solo and 5H is the "Biggest Girl Group in the World". C,L,A,N,D are nothing but money to the label. The label willingly put them against each other, and maybe thats the reason why Camila maybe believed that the girls hated her. Remember how C was in major depression around that time and had severe anxiety and OCD right around when these stuff were happening? Maybe it was because of that. Since this was like a month or two RIGHT before the 7/27 tour and C was prolly still heartbroken and thought the girls hated her, maybe THATS when she wrote IHQ.....in HOTEL BATHROOMS.

Queer Baiting
The label was Queer Baiting.
Management knows that the group is heavily LGBT+ influenced, because of the Camren ship, the girls speak up a lot on it, and because Lauren came out as Bi. If you are in the 5H fandom, you might remember that in the beginning of fifth harmony, Camila and Lauren were extremely close. And I'm talking about up till 2014 and early 2015. They were like super duper close with each other. Then suddenly they got like extremely distant.
I know I might be like really delusional right now, but I feel like management were trying to stop the Camren ship because it was starting to define the group as a whole, and there is so much evidence proving that.It is very clear that the label were using the ship in the beginning to gain a solid base so it would attract more people and more PR. Then obviously, they stopped because of the reason above.
