The fact that I have to choose my grades between my own mental health is so fu***d up. Like it really pisses me off that teachers don't understand that some students suffer from mental disorders like social anxiety, and they force them to talk in front of the whole class for a damn grade.
If you have a broken leg, you do not have to participate in P.E. But if you have social anxiety, you are forced to speak in front of the public.
Also, why is homework even legal? It is literally putting hours upon hours of work upon already ubstable, depressed teenagers, after they were already forced to deal with the exact same shit for 6-7 hours straight, and it deprives us of sleep, and we don't even get paid. This is basically slavery.
Mental health comes before school. If it is past midnight, and you have a test the next day, but your hands have literally been shaking for the past hour, and you don't even know if you wanna be alive anymore, go to bed. Who tf cares if you got 54% on the test the next day? You took care of yourself, and that is what matters at the end of the day.
