Heyyyy teachers!! You know how you use things as gay marriage, women's rights etc as "fun debate topics"? Well about that....
Stop pretending there aren't kids that are affected by this...
Like imagine how is it like to sit in a classroom, discussing about something that directly affects you. Not just that. Hearing the opinions of others and slowly coming to the realization some of your classmates and peers hate you for simply existing. Not everyone is a cis straight white male that comes from a middle class or wealthy family.
The "fun" things you discuss in class just as a way to pass time are things that people are getting murdered over somewhere else in the world.
If you want to discuss these topics, obviously it's fine. People need to learn about this stuff. But DEBATING on wether LGBTQ+'s deserve the same rights as cishets and wether women should have the same rights as men or wether it's fine for cops to kill black people for "their safety"?!?! Come on teachers. There is a way to learn about this stuff. Please don't do it in that insensitive way. It hurts people.
