So atm I'm on my way to Detroit for some party or whatever.
You see, I go to the United States a LOT.
Usually like once every two weeks or whatever.
And obviously that means I have to go through customs.
And this is the part where it pisses me off a lot. Most American border control workers are just soooo...how do i say it???....annoying.
Like first off, most of the ones I've come across are just really rude. Like a few months ago, I was going to New York City. My family are first generation immigrants so my parents both have very heavy accents and can't speak English too well. When we were at customs, this officer was like "where you going". My dad answered New York, New York. Then the officer got pissed for no reason and was like "tell me WHERE you are going exactly and speak PROPERLY" and basically shouted that part lmao. Then we answered and gave our passports and stuff and then the dude was like "why are you going?" "What are you doing there" you know, the normal things. Then he was like "why are you doing that?" And then just reallllly personal questions and that's my next point.
A lot of American border control officers are just too into your business. Like I'm here to cross the border. Not to tell you about my love life.
Then because of that, they take soooo long. Like once I was in a border control line for half an hour and the line wasn't even THAT long.
I'm not trying to generalize Americans because I know not ALL are like this but this is just talking about the majority of American border officers I've came across.
Like a couple were actually really cool.
So yeah, hopefully I won't get into any problems/waste time this time around
