Leandrea's POV

"You're okay?" Caleb asked me opening the door of his car for me. "You seem pissed."

"Yup, I'm fine," I replied.

Ofcourse I was pissed!

First my bestfriend ditched me for chemistry and now she ditched me again at the end of school so I had no other option but to go with Caleb.

"Hey, chill out," he said backing out of our school parking lot and giving me the look. "Tell me what's bothering you. Maybe I can help?"

"There's nothing wrong. Just drive."

We rode in silence while Caleb lazily hummed some song which I was too tensed to figure out.

How can he hum which so much tension in the air?

I stared out of the window watching the shops zip by as we drove through the market. Caleb still continued humming that ridiculous song

Ugghh! How the hell can I tell him to buzz off and leave me alone nicely?

Let's give it a try..

"Caleb," I began. "I really appreciate what you're doing for me. It's really sweet..but now's not the time an-"

"I know you're stressed about Marlene," he broke in keeping his eyes on the road. "You should really stop bothering so much you know. I bet she feels guilty for it"

"Uh huh."

"And anyway," he continued. "Do you want her last memories of you to be unhappy?"

I took some time to process what he said. "So you've given up?" I said.

"What?!"

"You've given up on her right?!" I said turning to face him tears behind my eyes.

"You've given up on her ever having a normal life and getting better!" My voice was rising dangerously high.

"Lee, I didn't mean-"

"Oh shut up Caleb!"

I was totally losing it now!

Thank goodness Caleb decided to stop the car.

"You just said it!" I continued. "You said that her last memories of me are gonna end up being gloomy if I don't get a grip right? Well that just means that you know her last memories are the present. You've given up on her Caleb! You're already accepting the fact that she's gonna-" I stopped there and glared at him.

"Do you even know how much Marlene means to me? Do you? I can't live without her Caleb! She's my bloody twin! You don't know what it feels like! You never do! You never will! If you even cared about me half as much as you claimed you do. You wouldn't have given up!"
