Leandrea's POV
"You kidnapped me?!" I shrieked as the automated car drove on. "What the hell Ryden?"
"Well I haven't tied and gagged you up so not really," Ryden smirked making my heart flutter. I shouldn't be alone with him.
"Stop this car," I said firmly. "How the hell do you stop this car!"
"I don't really know," he admitted. "We stole it from Jeremy and we didn't really think of asking him how to operate it."
"You kidnapped me in an automatic car owned by my ex boyfriend who tried to rape me?!"
"I didn't kidnap you Leandrea," Ryden said. "I just got you to forcibly spend time with me."
"I don't want to spend any time with you," I said. "Never. Now stop the car."
"I'm afraid you'll have to," he said inching closer to me. "This car won't stop till we reach our destination."
"Which is?"
"Right here," Ryden said as the car stopped on que. I looked outside the tinted windows and saw the hillside. "You can get out as long as you don't run away, which will be a foolish task since you will roll down the hill."
"Just say that you don't want me dead," I said rolling my eyes as I got out of the car. Ryden was right. The car had stopped right at the cliff which looked over the town in the valley below. If I'd followed my plan and ran out of the car, I would go tumbling down while Ryden laughed his ass off.
"I didn't want to be harsh on your childish soul." He smirked, sitting on the hood of the car. "Now begin."
"Begin what?" I asked. "You're the one who brought me here!"
"If you haven't realized you owe me an explanation," Ryden began. "A huge one."
"I have no clue what you're talking about." I sat on the hood next to him, trying to ignore the sparks in my stomach at our proximity.
You can't feel this way Leah!
"You know exactly what I mean Leandrea," he said, his tone turning harsh. "I want to know why you've been pushing me away all this while! I want to know what I did to piss you off so much. Whatever it was I didn't do it on purpose!"
"Ryden, just forget about it," I began.
"How can I forget about it?!" He yelled, his voice echoing from the hills. "How can I just forget about all the memories we've had together and just go back to being complete strangers? You might be able to do that, but I can't Leandrea! I can't! You mean too much to me to simply be forgotten."
"Ryden please," I begged as tears started rolling down my face. "Please just let things be the way it is. It's for the best."
"What's the best in this huh?" He shouted, jumping off the hood to face me. "I'm not an idiot Leandrea. I know I haven't done anything so all your accusations in class were fake."
"This distance that you're putting between us," he continued. "It's hurting me! And clearly it's doing the same to you! Then why the hell are you doing this? I really can't stay away from you anymore. Why Leandrea? Why?!"
"Because I love you, you idiot!" I shouted, as more tears fell from my eyes.
It was done. I'd told him how I feel and now he was probably disgusted at what a slut I was. I'd thought that maybe I'd feel better, lighter even after telling Ryden how I feel. But clearly that was a mistake. I felt worse than ever.
"I didn't know how it happened," I continued, words simply falling from my mouth. "But I tried Ryden. I tried to make myself stop falling for you but I couldn't! I'd already fallen too deep."
