Leandrea's POV

"Last night was so hot!" Natasha ranted next to me. "I was literally sweating in winter Leah. And Kevin gives the best-"

"Silencee!" I cried putting my hands on my ears to protect their innocence. "Don't you dare stain my holy ears with your sexual talk, Natasha! I'm sorry but I really don't want to know what you two did last night."

Natasha just laughed it off and began telling me about a movie they'd watched yesterday, which I was fine with.

Accurate details of my bestfriend's sexual life with her boyfriend who also happens to be my close friend? HELL NO!

I believe in ear and mind virginity which I would really like to keep, thanks.

"Heyy!" Jessica joined us at our lunch table with her own tray. "How's it been? What has the New Year done to you guys?"

"Oh don't talk like you haven't met us for ages," Natasha eye rolled. "We literally met 48 hours ago at Leah's place for New Year's dinner."

"Hello to you too Nat," Jessica smiled evily and I burst out laughing.
"Where are the rest?" I asked. "Lunch is almost half way over."

"I'm here," Caleb announced appearing out of the blue and taking a seat next to me. "Dylan and Emma got into detention for making out during Calculus so they won't be coming."

"Kevin was too exhausted after last night so he didn't even come to school," Natasha said frankly receiving an eye roll from the rest of us.

I knew I wasn't the only one trying to protect my mind and ear virginity!

"Where's Ryden?" I asked, looking around the cafeteria. He normally walked me to lunch with Dylan, but today I didn't see any of them.

"Clearly not here," Caleb said taking a bite into his burger. It might've been my imagination, but I was sure I saw a smirk on his lips.

Was he happy that Ryden wasn't here?

Why?

"Well now he is," a deep voice said behind me, making the hair on the back of my neck rise. "Missed me Cal?"

"Yeah yeah," Caleb muttered, his face turning sour at as Ryden took his seat opposite him. "And it's Caleb."

"Yeah yeah whatever Cal," Ryden said stealing his fries and winking at him. Caleb's face turned red with anger and I had to do all I could to control my laughter.

These boys were really hilarious to watch. They hated each other for reasons no one knew, but we didn't really mind. We always got good drama.

"Okay cut it out boys," Natasha said. "Let's be civil and eat."

"Says the wildest person on the table," I muttered under my breath. Jessica choked on her milkshake and I earned a glare from my bestfriend.

"I need food," Ryden announced just as the bell rang signalling the end of lunch. "Oh damn it! I'll just starve."

"We have a free lecture," I said checking my timetable. "Mrs Trench broke her foot while climbing the stairs to the lab. We can grab a tray and head out to the fields. I need to complete some work anyway."

"Deal!" Ryden said his face brightening at the idea. Clearly he was starving. "Come on, let's go."

I grabbed my bag and the last fry on my tray and followed him. I could feel Caleb's eyes on me, but I just brushed it off and joined Ryden at the dwindling queue for his lunch.

He ordered pizza, fries and a coke and headed out through the cafeteria doors with me running behind to keep up with his long stride.

"Don't you dare steal my food," he warned holding his tray away from me. "I'm ravenous and if I'm not satisfied with this I might just eat you too."
