Title is ironic but it makes sense. So Sapphire arrives in Odale Town and needs a map to find her way around the Hoenn region. She knows how to get to the next city/town but its the other towns and cities she's worried about getting to.

"Man, we finally made it to Odale Town guys," I said stretching after all of the running I had done along with Crimson and Kipz on my shoulders.
"You said it," Kipz said jumping off my shoulder,"So where's the next town?"
"It's Petalburg City-Oops! Sorry Sapphire, I shouldn't have said that,"Crimson sulked.
"Its fine, I understand Crimson," I said reassuring her,"I knew it was too. After all, dad used to take us there a lot to show us his Gym Battles. But this time, we won't see him and he won't see us cuz we're going to sneak through that city without him seeing us!"
"You sure that's going to work?"Crimson asked.
"I think it will Crimson," agreed Kipz.
"Of course you do Kipz cuz you trust Sapphire right from the get go."
"Well you did too, didn't you Crimson?"
"Yeah, but I guess I still can't belive that you warmed up to her right away,"
"Will you two stop fighting?" I asked trying not to sound mean.
"We were not fighting!"Crimson retorted.
"Okay then, well I think we should try and see how much these Town Maps are on sale at the Poke Mart here," I said pionting to a sign that said,"Town Maps of the Hoenn Region 25% Off!"
"Okay, that sounds like a great idea," Kipz said.
"Seems a bit strange but okay."
"Let's just go."
We started looking the Poke Mart and it wasn't long until we came to it. There weren't many people there but then again, Odale was a small town that was said to not have very much rainfall so it was always nice and warm until night came. And that's just one of the great examples for a good reason to like Hoenn's tropical climate.
The Mart Doors slid open by themselves and we went inside. I found the Town Maps by the front counter and they cost $7,000 bucks! I couldn't afford it so I just bought some Poke Food, even though I'd rather prefer to feed berries to my Pokemon instead, but I heard that Poke Food is supposed to have berries in it so I bought a few containers of it and kept the remaining $700 for later.
We exited the Poke Mart and went out of town and had our lunch on Route 102. But we had to eat fairly quickly because after two weeks of traveling I was hoping to at least get five or six Gym Badges before my dad would have to come after me. Our lunch consisted of Poke Food, for Kipz and Crimson, and a sandwich along with an apple for me. After we finnished I took out my canteen and filled their bowls with water and then I took a sip for myself. When I started cleaning up Crimson started sniffing the air. I put the bowls, containers and canteen into my pack and sniffed the air too.
I might be a human but I think my sense of smell and hearing are above average for a human, and I think it might have to do with my power to blend in with nature or something. I kept sniffing the air until I smelled fresh berries so we all waked to the scent until we found a couple of trees with Lum and Sitrus berries. Before we could take another step I felt myself being lifted up off of the ground by a Confusion attack. I saw that Kips was being lifed up but not Crimson since she was immune to psychic type attacks. Crimson scanned the area and she nodded her head telling me that she found the enemy without letting the enemy that she knew that she was going to attack, well, until I gave Crimson the signal to attack that is.
"Now Crimson! Use Bite!"
Crimson opened her jaws and her fangs became surrounded in a purplish-black aura which extended out and the enemy's grip on Kipz and I broke. I quickly threw a Poke Ball and caught the Pokemon, Crimson then picked it up and gave it to me. I looked inside to see a very timid Ralts, so I sent her out.
"Why did you attack us?" I asked her.
"I was protecting a sick friend and I didn't want you to get near her," she spoke quietly.
"Who's your friend?" I asked.
"Well, can you tell me first why you three came here?"
"We were only collecting some berries," I answered,"So who's your sick friend?"
"She's right here, and I really don't know what I should do," Ralts said lifting up a few leaves with Confusion to reveal a sick Wurple.
I quickly ran over to it and took a look to see how well it was feeling. The poor Pokemon seemed to have a fever so I climbed up one of the trees to grab some Lum and Sitrus berries. I walked back over to everyone else and crouched down next to the Wurmple. I broke off part of the Lum berry and squeezed the juice out so it would trickle into Wurple's mouth. Most of it didn't reach inside but what did was enough to wake it up. Next I held out a Sitrus berry and she gobbled it up in a few bites.
"You sure know a lot more about berries than me," said Ralts.
"Thanks," I said smiling.
I felt Wurmple crawl up my shoulder which it tickled.
"Whoever you are, can Cassie and I come with you?" Wurmple asked.
"Cassie?"
"Yes, that's what Wurple calls me but I can never give her a name like what she calls me," Cassie the Ralts said.
"Well Wurple, I think I'll call you Paige," I said tapping a Poke Ball on her head and she was sucked inside by a red light.
I let her out and set her on my shoulder and put Kipz on my other.
"Are we still going to Petalburg or not," asked Crimson.
"Yes, yes we still are Crimson," I answered.
We all started heading through Route 102 until Kipz spoke up.
"So why do you want to not run into your dad?" asked Kipz.
"Well, he wants me to be a Gym Leader like him against my own will. And if you're wondering how I can blend into nature and understand you guys, I really don't know. I was just born with them but I know I've only been able to blend in with nature when I first met Crimson," I answered.
He just nodded in acknowledgement. I knew he didn't really want to say much because it was going to be a long and tough journey and to him, even though he had a Hasty nature, I was rushing the journey. But I was enjoying it and I was hoping that I would meet some nice people who would become helpful allies or even rivals, other than Ruby of course. And of course, this journey was going to be amazing.
