Okay, this originally was two chapters called true Power and Catching Fire but I decided to put them together just because it confuses me a bit. And yes, I know that it would possibly be considered copyright because its that name of Huger Games book, which I've never read btw, so that's another reason why I decided to change it into one chapter. One more thing, I will be adding extra chapters in the future as well possibly just because a rough draft is something to build on. XD Okay, I'll stop talking and let you read now so enjoy! ^.^

The Route to Verdanturf Town from Mauville City, Route 117, wasn't very long so we were able to get there in about a day. The trainers weren't too tough but they were great training for my Pokemon so it wasn't that bad at all. When we got there we were greeted with a fresh breeze from the southern winds that felt good on my face. I noticed that Crimson was enjoying it so I thought it would be best to let everyone else out too. Before I could do that we were approached by two people and an Absol. One of them was a young woman with very light blue hair, a green sleevless shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and was holding a microphone. The young man with her who looked to be about her age was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, red sneakers, a red backwards baseball cap, and was holding a huge camera.

"Excuse me but you appear to be a strong trainer, is that correct?" the woman asked.

"Uh yes...Is that camera on?" I asked.

"No but-"

"Then good because I don't want to be on TV. I'm not trying to sound rude but I really don't like TV so much."

"Oh, we're sorry. We were just hoping to find someone so we could get a real live battle on TV," she said.

"Heh, I understand but I really don't want to be on TV. Oh, I'm Sapphire though."

"Well Sapphire, battle or not I can tell that you're a strong trainer. While we're doing introductions I'm Gabby from Lillycove News and this is my trusty cameraman Ty here," she said motioning to the guy with the camera.

They didn't seem to be all that bad, so why not be nice. Their Absol seemed to have a Mild nature and also a bit observable of everything as well. Just then Absol tensed up so I checked the Pokedex to learn more about the Pokemon's abilities. The Pokedex read that it was really sensitive to changes in the land, sea, and sky and that it could live up to 100 years.

"Absol, what's the matter?" Gabby asked.

Absol just turned around and looked at a mountain to the west.

"Something's not right," she said and took off running.

"Absol!" Gabby exclaimed and ran after Absol.

"Hey Gabby! Wait up!"

Ty started chasing after her and Crimson and I couldn't just stand there and do nothing so we ran right behind them.

"I wonder what Absol sensed?" Crimson asked.

"I really don't know so we're just going to have to find out."

We ran past the Battle Tent and Contest Hall on our way to where Absol was going. Whatever she sensed it wasn't good and my Pokemon and I were going to have to protect anyone who got in the way. The Battle Tent and Contest Hall looked pretty packed so everyone there would be safe since from where Absol was heading to it was the mountain.

It wasn't much longer until we reached the base of the mountain at a construction site. There were a lot of workers there with Whismur, Loudred, and Exploud crouding around and they all seemed to be worried.
