Author's Quick Note: Hi, sorry about not being around for a while. I will try an upload a chapter per week, if I have time or I am not packed with home work. XD Also, I will be showing information on what Sapphire's team is cuz I like that and also, the reason why this story is PG-13 in the first place is because later in the story, things get a bit, crazy. Now I'll stop rambling so you guys can read. ^.^ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up the next morning with Crimson sleeping at the foot of my bed. I shifted my feet so she would wake up and then we got out of bed to get ready for today. The day of our escape! My stuff was already packed, even though there wasn't much to pack since we could only travel light, and my clothes were already on the floor.
My mom had bought them for me as an early birthday present since I turn 14 in a few weeks and I guess I really didn't care for them until now. They looked similar to the red clothes I had a few years back except they were blue. I don't know why but I loved them, I guess its because my favorite colors are blue and black. And my mom told me that they matched my blue eyes a little too, not that I really care though, but, what the heck.
I quickly put them on and checked the clock on my wall. It said 10:30 a.m. Crap! We were late for breakfast! We ran downstairs and into the kitchen just in time to grab the last muffin before my little sister could.
"Hey! I was going to eat that!" she screamed.
"Says the person who never saves any food for the oldest sister," I said with a mouthful of chocolate chip muffin.
Our mom looked up from washing the dishes and sighed.
"Cassidy, don't you have to clean your room?" she asked.
Cassidy stuck her tongue out at me and stomped upstairs.
"So immature for a ten year old," Crimson sighed.
I didn't answer, I just went to the front door.
"Sapphire, where are you going?" my mom asked.
"I'm just going to meet Ruby to help his dad with his fieldwork," I answered.
I felt bad lying but it was partially the truth though. Then my sister ran back downstairs.
"Why are you going? You know dad won't like it," Cassidy said.
"Well I'm thirteen, almost fourteen, so I should be able to have a bit more freedom now. Right mom?"
"Yes, but don't be gone too long though please. And Cassidy, please go clean your room."
Cassidy stuck her tongue out at me again and sulked back upstairs to her room. Then my mom came out of the kitchen and walked over to me.
"I see you're wearing the new outfit I got you. Its much nicer than your orange and green one," she smiled.
"Thanks, bye mom," I said opening the door.
"When will you be back?"
"I don't know, but I'll come home as soon as I can though."
"Okay then. Bye sweetheart."
"Bye mom," I said walking out the door.
She closed it behind me and I started off to Route 101. We had to walk through the town but since it was't that early not a lot of people were out and about with their normal everyday lives. My life though wasn't going to be here anymore, it was going to be made of adventure and traveling across Hoenn, and maybe even to other regions too if I got the chance that is. Crimson and I eventually got to the route and hid in the tall grass waiting for Ruby and his dad to show up. I knew it was dangerous to hide in tall grass but I had to stay here so I wouldn't get seen by Professor Birch.
