I exited the Rustboro Gym after Kipz and I had won our first Gym Badge, the Stone Badge. I looked at my Pokenav which read 11:30 a.m.
"Its still going to be a long day and if we want to get to Lillycove City before the two weeks is up then we have to hurry, but we should still enjoy our journey an all," I said.
"So we've been traveling for 2 days now. That means we have less than two weeks."
"Correct, but like I said, we still should enjoy our journey while it lasts. And maybe it wouldn't hurt to try and help someone along the way too."
"Okay. Well, so we're off to Mr. Briney's place and then Dewford Town, right?"
"Correct. Now let's go."
We headed through the bustling city and eventually came to the outskirts, but it was still going to be a while though. There really wasn't many people out and about here, but there was a very...interesting I guess... man with a blue tuxedo, a white fedora, white hair, and a Castform floating right next to him. He was just walking, but he seemed, weird. So me, being an idiot, walked over to him to have a conversation.
"Hi mister! How ya doing?" I asked.
"Fine, please don't bother me. I have to go somewhere and I'm in a bit of a hurry so run along," he said flatly.
Castform turned around a said to me," Please ignore him, he's been in a bad attitude. And maybe if you called him Mr. Stone, he might not act this way since everyone in Rustboro knows that he's the Devon Corperation President and-"
"Well we don't live in Rustboro City! We're only a traveling Pokemon and Trainer!" Kipz retorted.
Castform then shut up when Kipz finished telling the bad apple off. So he was the President of the Devon Corperation, I thought, well I geuss it wouldn't hurt to apologize.
"I'm sorry for not recognizing you at once Mr. Stone, I should've known, please forgive me. Oh, and I'm Sapphire," I said.
He stopped, and slowly turned around and said,"I forgive you. Most travelers don't recognize me right away anyways."
"How'd you know I was a traveler?" I said in bewilderment.
"I noticed the Gym Badge. My son Steven has some," he said as he started walking again.
"Really? So he's a trainer too?" walking after him.
"Of course, he's a strong one at that. I was actually going to Mr. Briney to deliver a letter for me to Steven. He's on Dewford Island right now training."
"Hey! I'm going there too, I could deliver it for you."
"Maybe, but there's something else that I have to give to him that's really important."
"And what's that?"
"Its a part they need in Slateport City, at the harbor."
"Well, I could give them to Steven for you."
"Thanks for the kind offer Sapphire but-"
"But what?"
Before he could answer something attacked us and I immedietely called Paige out and she used String Shot to stop the attacker. It was green and was holding a machine part with one hand while the other was trying to break free from Paige's white thread from. I quickly checked the Pokedex to see that it was called a Lombre and this Pokemon didn't seem wild.
