"Oh My God"
I stood outside in front of my parent's house. My sister was the when who answered the door. I was finally able to find to get an hour break after working at Max's house. The next day Tiffany got my ass to work asap. She woke me up at 5 AM in the morning to clean the house and make phone calls to everyone who came to the wedding and apologize for having it canceled. It was all over celebrity gossip magazines and TV shows about how I crashed the wedding. And asking what will Kevin do and who will he choose? I just felt so bad for Kevin.
I haven't seen him all day today. I know he's avoiding me on purpose. He wouldn't come to breakfast. This morning he just woke and left for work. Max tried to stop him telling Kevin he should rest since he just got out of the hospital and that the whole wedding was put on hold. He didn't really need to go back to work, but I know he was using work as an excuse to get out of the house.
I won't deny that what I did was wrong. I just have stayed, but Max and Kevin will never understand nor know why I had to leave. It's not like I wanted too. I was trying to protect them. But my being back in the country I am putting their life's at risk. If I keep a low profile then I can make it until Max's graduation. I know Max came up with the idea of me being a hired as a maid to help me get closer to Kevin. That's why I am putting up with the bull shit his fiance is putting me through. In hopes, this will all be worth it.
"Hello, Esther" I said with tears in my eyes. Esther screams and quickly pulls me inside in the house.
"Please tell me this isn't a dream" She says pulling me into a hug.
"I'm real" I say putting my arms around her.
"What's with the screa--" I look up to see my brother Luis coming down stairs.
"Jackie" He says in shock. He looks at me as if he saw a ghost and I can't blame him.
"I'm I dead?" He ask confused. He blinks a couple of times and keeps staring at me.
"Luis get over here. She's real" Esther says letting me go to wipe her tears.
"I--I can't believe this." He says making his way towards me. He reaches out to me and pulls me into a hug.
"Where the fuck you been?" He says as his voice crack.
"I'm am so sorry" I say hugging him back. I realized my actions not only hurt the people I love but also my family. If I could I would have stood up for myself and tell her I will not leave my family.
