Jackie

"Kevin is this really necessary?" I said as we left the hospital. I was finally discharged from the hospital and Kevin would not let me walk. He got me a wheelchair and was pushing towards the house.

"I am not taking any chances. I want you to relax today." He says.

"But that's what I have been doing for two weeks. I want to move." I said moving around in my chair. Letting out a sigh I let this slid for now. Ever since I woke up Kevin has been treating me like a baby. He would not let me feed myself or go anywhere without him. He even watches me use the bathroom. His reason is that I may trip or get dizzy and fall.

Kevin opens the door and as I soon as we step into the living room.

"Suprise!" I jump in shock to see my whole family here. I look around the room and see a banner that reads Welcome Home Jackie. There are balloons and flowers everywhere.

"What?" I said confused as Kevin takes into the middle of the living room.

"Welcome back baby." My mom says and comes over to give me a hug. I hug her back.

"It's good to be back." I say with a smile.  One by one my family comes up and gives me hugs and kisses. It feels so good that everything is back to normal. I am so blessed to have a family that would even go to the ends of the world for me. I feel myself about to cry again and I rub my eyes to stop myself from crying again.

"Now let's get this party started!" James yelled and turned up the radio. Everyone smiles and made their way to the table that's filled with food.

"I'll fix you a plate." Kevin says and helps me move over to the couch. Max comes over to sit next to me and smiles.

"How are you?" I asked. I know when we last talked everything was a lot of Max. I feel so bad from leaving him all these years and keeping everything a secret. I know I forgave his father for everything, but I am not quite sure Max has forgiven his dad yet.

"I'm alright." He says as he takes a chip from his plate. He puts a chip up to my mouth and I open my mouth to take it.

"I know you said you forgive me, but I could never stop feeling sorry for all the pain I left with you." I said. Max turns to face me and takes a deep breath.

"I understand you did what you thought was best for me and that's why I find it easier to forgive you. Because you came back and since then you haven't done anything to harm me and you didn't lie. My dad, on the other hand, continues to lie and leave me out of things. And when I confront him he continues to deny and lie. What also hurts the most is when I told him about Tiffany and Alexander time and time again he always chooses them over me. He even hurt me and blame everything on me. Now I come to find out everything I said was true he knew." Max looks down at his plate. "He could have just told me. For  years he played me like a fool." I put my arm around Max's shoulder and pull him close. He lays his head on my shoulder. I don't say anything because he is right. The scars Max has are from before I came back and it's not up to me this time to heal them. Kevin as a lot of making up to do with Max. I was hoping when I left their relationship would have grown and they would have gotten close. I let out a sigh.
