Thing is going well. Jackie and my dad seem to be getting along very well. Alexander has been staying out of way. Yup, life is good.
"So you just subject eight from---Max--Max is you listening?" I blinked for a few times to realize I caught day dreaming again.
"Geez Max. You're the one who asked for my help" Said Gabriela.
"Your right I'm sorry" I say trying to focus again. Gabella and I stayed after school to study for our math class together. Besides my family always showing up to my school and embarrassing me. Gabriela and I have been spending a lot of time together. I would pick her up after school and start her to work or pick her up from practice. She also sometimes eats lunch with us.Gabriela has become part of our crew. Sometimes during lunch, Micky makes moves on her but as always they go unnoticed.
"Max" I look up to face Gabriela. She looks like she wants to ask me something.
"What's up?" I said.
"Umm...Is it true that Alexa--"
"No" I said trying to drop it before it began.
"But--"
"Gabella, please." I say rolling my eyes.
"Alright." She says putting her hands in the air.
"So how's swim practice coming along?" I asked changing the subject.
"Great." She said with a smile "The team is awesome. And everyone is so nice. I can't wait until we start." She says.
"Yeah. I can't wait until baseball season starts too. I am itching to get back on the field" I said leaning back in my seat.
"Max"
"What's up?" I say straightening myself up in my seat.
"Do--do you ever think about what you would do after High School?" She asks putting her elbow on the table and laying her head on her hand.
"Um...honsetly I just like to take things as it is. I don't really think about tomorrow. I like to take it one step at a time." I answer.
"But it's our senior year." She says showing enthusiasm. "Don't you think about what your life is going to be like when your away from home. And being able to finally work towards your goals."
"Yeah, I see what you're saying." I said scratching the back of my head. "But I try to not think about those things. I want to enjoy my senior year. And enjoy these last few months being with my friends." I reply.
Gabriela sits back on her seat and crosses her arms. "Oh well, that's easy to do when you already have your future planned out for you."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked feeling offended.
