Max
Today is the first day of school. And if it wasn't for Jackie I would have been late. I didn't get a chance to meet up with my friends since I only had three minutes until the bell rings for the first period. I had American Government with Gabriela first period and I was happy to see her again. As I walked into the classroom I saw Gabriela sitting in the front. I smiled and made my way to take a seat behind her.
"Welcome back" I whisper into her ear causing her to jump in surprise.
"Oh No" She says shaking her head.
"What?" I say with a smile.
"There is no way in hell I am letting you sit behind me this whole year" She says.
"Well that's too bad" I say. The bell rings and I smile knowing it's too late for her to change seats now.
"Aw man" She says turning her head to face the board.
Mr. Cambelle shuts and locks the door.
"Good Morning everyone. My name is Mr. Cambelle I will be your American government teacher for this semester. Once I lock those doors you are late. You will lose 5 points for every tardy or unexcused absence."
"Oh Shit" I heard someone whisper.
Even though it was the first day back he wasn't evening us any slack. I knew this was going to be a long year.
After first period Gabriela and I walked together to our next class.
"You look good in your uniform," I said eyeing her up and down. She was wearing a gray skirt with a white button-up long sleeve shirt and a red short sleeve button up vest with the school's coat of arms on the left. Her hair is braided to the side.
"Yeah, but this skirt makes me very itchy she says scratching her thigh.
"You'll get used to it' I said as we kept walking down the hall. "Man I have no idea how the hell I'm going to pass his class. He looks like those types of teachers that give zero fucks." I say.
"I don't know I kind of like him. At least he takes is time and the class seriously. All you have to do is the work." She says.
"Yeah, I guess." I say then put my arm on top of her head. "At least I know a smart girl who sits in front of me" I say with a smile. She tries to push me off but fails. I love how short and small she is.
"Don't expect me to do all the work" She says once she realizes it's no use pushing me off.
"What's your next class?" She ask.
"Uh...Physics" I say going over my schedule in my head.
"Do you know where the 500 building is? I have Spanish" She asks looking at her schedule in her hand.
