"Miss Hara can you see what the spirits are doing?"-Naru
"They're in the living room, there's no indication they've gone to the hotel yet"-Masako
"Matsuzaki start making charms that will stop any spirit from passing, I want the rest of you to post them around the house we are going to raise a kekkai barrier in here"-Naru
"Care to fill us in on the plan?"-Monk
"I plan to return Tomiko back to her mother"-Naru
"Huh?!?"-Everyone
"Naru, that's impossible"-Mai
"Tomiko can not be returned physically, her mother will continue to haunt this place, we can at least create the allusion of her return, so we'all need a substitute"-Naru
"You're not talking about Ayami, are you??"-Yumi
The problem lies with the women if we leave here without removing her we would have failed"-Naru
"Yea but this women is dangerous, she nearly killed Yumiko when she pulled her into the well. I think at some point we need to start considering our own safety"-Ayako
"I guess but what about Ayami?"-Mai
As Mai asks this no one answers or faces each other.
"I must say I'm disappointed in all of you, I expected more. If you can't think objectively than I don't need you"-Naru
"The risks in this are high"-Yumi
"Yeah if we screw this up our spirits could remain trapped here as well"-Monk
As Monk says this Naru looks up at him and they look at each other intensely, with Naru to break off their little stare off he starts saying " Wether or not you want to participate is entirely up to you, Mai, Yumi you're free to leave as well."
"Naru"-Mai whispered
And with that everyone watched Naru leave with Lin.
After Naru left everyone let out a sigh.
"Oh you poor girls, he's quite a handful huh"-Ayako
"Tch, no kidding"-Yumi
"If Naru is prepared to go that far then there's a chance of success"-Masako
'Why's she so pro Naru all off a sudden'- Mai wondered
'She's got a point tho' Yumi said after hearing her thoughts
'Don't defend her'-Mai
'Damn Mai chill with the jealousy'-Yumi
'I'm not jealous'-Mai
'Uhuh'-Yumi
"I trust your judgement Masako and if you think we should then let's do it"-Monk
"You sure?"-Mai
"Well at this point it's the only option we have"-Monk
"I agree I think it's a good plan"-John
"*sigh* if you all end up dead I'll see to your funerals"-Ayako

•A few hours later•

Just like Naru told us we began putting charms all throughout the house.
"So what exactly is the purpose of putting these charms?"-Mai
It's simple-- Ayako starts but is interrupted by Naru who finished answering the question
"To keep the spirits from leaving the house"-Naru
"Naru!" Mai says surprise to see him back
"Be aware that we'll be leaving the kemmom gate to distribute the spirits"-Naru
"Oh just get off it, why does he always act like the big shot?"-Ayako
"Because he's Naru"-Mai, Yumi and monk answer at the same time
"Uh by the way, did he say demons gates?"-Mai
"No, kemmon gate, the north east quarter it is the easiest way for spirits to pass through"-Monk
"Monk and Matsuzaki guard the kemmon gate and when the spirits exit, scatter them as best as you can"-Naru
"We'll be reducing the number of spirits to draw the women out then?"-Monk
"John I want you to cover the livingroom and do the same"-Naru
"Piece of cake"-John
"Wait hold on a sec then who will be doing the exorcism?"-Monk
After a moment everyone said "wait you don't mean..."as they looked at Naru

*With John in the livingroom*
In the living room where John was, Mai, Yumi, Masako and Naru were with him as well.
"Our father who art in heaven hallow be thy name..."-John
"Masako is something wrong?"-Mai
"Some things are addressed to a spirit to help them with issues in their past life's, only a medium can be successful at it. Naru is no medium so he plans to perform an exorcism."-Masako
"What's the difference, between the exorcism and a cleansing?"-Yumi
"In a cleansing you try to persuade a spirit to change their ways but with an exorcism the goal is to destroy or kill the spirit upright."-Masako
"That's horrible"-Mai
"I wished he wouldn't exorcise her in my presence"-Masako
'Interesting, to Masako it seems people and spirits are one in the same'-Mai thought but was pulled out of her thought as something pulled her and threw her to her side.
"Hey you alright"-Yumi
"Are you ok"-Masako
"Yeah I'm ok"-Mai
'What was that?'-Mai wondered
"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God...-John
"Miss Hara how about now?"-Naru
"They are trying to escape, there numbers are dropping rapidly, they are trying to get out of this room, they're crying"-Masako
"Why don't you cleanse the children's spirit right now?-Yumi
"Impossible, not as long as the women's spirit is here"-Masako
Masako looks up and gasps
"What? What is it?-Mai
"She's coming out"-Masako
The women starts to come out of the well whispering Tomiko, Tomiko.
"Tomiko is not here, these children do not belong to you, please set them free, can't you see the pain that they are in? They want to return to there real mothers, let them go"-Masako
As Masako says this what seems to be hands start coming out the well straight to where the girls are, John jumps in front of them but before he can do anything he is thrown towards a wall.
"John!"-Yumi gets up and runs toward John to check on him.
All while this was happening Naru was standing by the door and began to walk closer to the spirit of the women.
"Naru! Just give me another minute, please don't"-Masako
"Wait, Naru"- the girls say
" Your child is right here, look"-As Naru says this he takes out a person like shape of wood with some writing and points it towards the spirit of the women.
'What is that'- Mai
"Take the children you have gathered with you and leave this place"-after Naru said that he threw the piece of wood up towards the spirit of the woman and what seemed to be a small child started to form and got closer to the women and both hugged which instantly turned the mood of all the spirits.
"Look Mai they've been cleansed"-Masako
'And with that another case is solved'-Mai&Yesi
•The next day•
"You don't know how grateful I am for your help, I just heard from my brother and he said he will be returning soon"-Noriko
"Oh, that's great"-Mai
"Are you sure it's safe, are all the ghost gone from the house"-Noriko
"There's no need to worry"-Naru
"Last one, we're set to go"-Monk says as he packs the last of the equipment into the car.
"Hey Naru what was the thing you gave the ghost?"-Mai
"It was a hitogata"-Naru
"And what's that"-Yumi
"It's the original form of the straw effigy dolls, it's made by carving a piece of paulownia wood into the shape of the person you wanna put a spell on"-Monk
"You dummy that's how you put a curse on someone"-Ayako
"Spell casting has both a light and dark side, a light spell helps them while a dark spell harms them. Often the casting has a combination of dark and light."-Naru
"That's right, like the way to disperse a sworn enemy in esoteric Buddhism can be used for both a good and bad cause"-Monk
"The hitogata is simply a vessel to contain a spirit, for example let's say I patterned a hitogata after Mai, if I were to damage it Mai would be harmed as well"-Naru
Mai flinched as she imagined what Naru explained.
"That's how close it is to a real person."-Naru
"So that one was..-Mai
"Me,for Tomiko"Naru
"Oh right, since she thought she got back her daughter she was cleansed due to her wish being fulfilled."-Yumi
"I'm impressed, the fact you made a successful hitogama that quickly, is that why you left early?"-Monk
"The date of Tomikos birth and death were necessary to be effective so I went to look for that information. The woman's name was Hiro Oshima, this house was built where her house used to stand, Tomiko was her only child's She disappeared and her dead body was found 6 months later in the pond, her mother then committed suicide by throwing herself in the well.
After informing them of his findings Naru and Lin got in the car.
"I would have never guessed he was an onmyou-ji"-monk
"Onmyou-ji?"Mai
"Fashioning a hitogata after Tomiko and cleansing her mother is pretty comlplicated, only a pro could pull that off"-monk
"It's amazing isn't it with how young Naru is"-Ayako
"Amazing?"-Mai
"Well it's pretty cool"-Ayako
*annoyed*-Mai
*rolls eyes at Mai*-Yumi
The girls turn around to find Ayami
"Mai, Yumi do you think we will see each other again?"-Ayami
"Tell you what, if you ever need something just give us a call and we'll be there"-Yumi
"Promise?"-Ayami
"Promise, and hear we'll pinky swear it, all three girls do a pinky swear and say goodbye.
