At the same time Mai had passed out Yumi and John had gone back to base and were sitting on the couch. Gene gave Yumi a heads up on a vision and shortly after she fell asleep leaning next to John, of course he didn't think much of it and just fixed his posture so she could sleep comfortably.

"What's up Gene?"-Yumi
"Mai passed out"
"What!? You made me go to sleep to tell me that instead of telling me when I was awake to find her?"
"She's fine, it wasn't just that there's a vision both of you need to see"
"Your timing sucks"
"I don't control when you guys get your visions!"
"Yeah, yeah just show me".
Mai woke up "What happened to me?". She looked around to see the black entity consuming more spirits. 'The block entity it's still devouring spirits. Like Sakauchi-Kun', she thought sadly.
The setting changed and she was now in someone's room.
Mai's POV
'I wonder who's room this is?', i walked over to a shelf and saw a lot of books about the supernatural.
'I sense a loneliness in this room. It feels like s room someone returned to after abandoning it a long time ago'. I thought as I walked over to a desk. There was a wallet and noticed it had a train pass which had expired, I saw the ID.
'This is his room. I'm sorry. We couldn't save you. I'm so sorry'. I thought sadly.
Yumi looked over at a teary Mai, she took a breath in and looked around she also felt bad they couldn't help him.
No One's POV
Naru and the others had found Mai unconscious and brought her to the nurse. Monk went to base to fetch John and Yumi and fill them in on what he happened. John woke up Yumi and they headed off to the nurse's office.
***At the Nurse Office***
Mai started to open her eyes.
"You're finally coming to?"-Naru
Mai got up quickly but felt light headed and fell back on the bed.
"I feel horrible"-Mai
"Then just like still for a while silly"-Naru
Mai was about to get up again when Ayako placed a towel on her forehead and said "Hey, take it easy".
"Ayako..."-Mai said looking up at her and then to her right to see the rest of the team chilling on the bed next to her's.
"Woah everyone's here"-Mai
"Yo"-Monk waved
"How are you"-Yasu
"Feeling better"-Yumi & John
"Is this the nurse's office?"-Mai
"That's right, why were you wondering the campus, alone?"-Ayako
"Well the video tape..."-Mai
"The tape?"-Ayako said before turning to Naru, "I told you, I told you, what do you have to say for yourself, Naru? You knew no one should go out alone!" She yelled at him like a disappointed mother and he turned around like a child being lectured.
"Tell is what happened Mai"-Yumi
"Well.."- Mai went into the earlier details of what happened when she was trapped in the room.
"Children's spirits huh. Masako, are there still around?"-Ayako
"No, I think they've gone"-Masako
"Sheesh why didn't you use a counter-spell?"-Monk
"I forgot"-Mai said sheepishly
"Well no harm, no foul. Let's get back to business. Matsuzaki-san, could you please watch over her"-Naru
"Okay"-Ayako
With that Naru ordered the rest of them back to base.
"Still woozy? You should get more rest"-Ayako said turning to go get something.
Mai grappled the hem of Ayako's sleeve.
"What's wrong?"-Ayako
"Could you stay?"-Mai looked at her pleadingly like a child does to their mother.
Ayako glanced at her and patted her head " I'll be right here. Now, good night."
With Mai fell back asleep.
It was night so some went to rest and some took the night shift on monitoring.
***Dreamscape***
Yumi put her invisible barrier. Gene wasn't there yet which was a bit odd since he was always there first.
Mai woke up and walked around. 'Hmm could this be the same dream? No, it can't be, it's gotta be a different one. I'll just collect some data. That's what I'll do'.
Mai turned to see Gene, he had a serious look, "It's dangerous. It's extremely dangerous here. Wake up and get out" he said. He gave a look to Yumi saying Mai needed to get out now.
"Wake up? You mean get out of the nurse's office?"-Mai
Suddenly there was a loud thuthump come from the building, they were looking at it from outside.
"Is that a phantom light"-Mai
"That's right. It's still sleeping but, it must have devoured enough human souls to grow so..."-Gene
"It will hatch"-They girls said at the same time, Gene looked over at Yumi and nodded.
"And when it does, no one will be able to stop it. There are four of them here. There's even one in the nurse's office. "-Gene
Yumi gave him a worried look.
"It would be smart to get out while we still can, wouldn't it"-Mai
"Right"-Gene
As they were looking at the building they noticed John and Yasu walking around probably taking the temps. "Let's check this room next"-Yasu said but that room had one of them.
"No way! One of those things is in there, too? I've gotta warm them! I'm going back!"-Mai
"Good, watch yourself"-Gene said and turned to Yumi who was also heading out "And you too."
***With Mai***
Mai woke up and quickly sat up and quickly felt the dizziness and fell back.
"Hey, what are you doing you idiot!"-Ayako
"Ayako it's in the first floor. It's in the print shop!"-Mai
"Huh ?"-Ayako
"John and Yasu are in there too! They're in danger! We've gotta warm them."Mai
"But I can't leave you alone"-Ayako
"I'm okay! Monk-San taught me the counter-spell I think. I remember bits acala something-something!"-Mai
"I see, well then, remember these nine words too"- Ayako said and held two fingers up together while making different hand gestures.
"Chant then after you invoke acala. I'll be back as I can!"-Ayako said and ran out.
***With Yumi***
Naru and Lin were in base with Yumi in the monitors.
Yumi woke up got up quickly "Naru!"
He looked over at her.
"We have to get to Mai quickly, a spirit, something's about to get her, I don't know but we have to get there quickly"- she put on her shoes and with Naru ran out to the Nurse's office. Naru picked up his pace and ran further ahead and quicker of Yumi.
***With Mai***
'Ugh I gotta get well fast"-Mai though
Suddenly there was a woosh,so gasped "It's here! What type of spirit is it this time?
She looks over to the other beds and saw something under the blanket of one of them.
She got up and as she got up the spirit also got up.
"It m-moved"-Mai thought taken aback
'Ok ok, the counter spell, I'll be okay. I just have to compose myself'. She stood up straight and got in position she did what Monk taught her first and started chanting "Naumaki sanmada bazaradan kan naumaku sanmanda bazaradan kan, right after that she did what Ayako taught her, she gestured and said"Rin, pyo, tou, sha". It worked but at the same time something threw her back to the wall.
'There's a chill in the air. The temperature must be dropping' she thought as she got up.
She couldn't see the spirit and thought it'd be better to get out but as she tried the door it wouldn't budge and the floor collapsed.
