Rey peeled open her eyes and sat up. '11:34'

"Oh shit," Rey mumbled before bolting out of bed and into the bathroom.

Rey proceeded to brush her teeth. After she was done with that, Rey ran into the kitchen and opened the cabinet to find... nothing.

"Why do I never have any food?" Rey asked herself. Rey shut the cabinet and decided to skip breakfast on the way to the bedroom.

Rey pulled open the door to her closet and fished through the clothes on the rack.

"Something casual but professional, something casual but professional," Rey whispered to herself. Finally, she found it. A black long sleeve white collar dress.

Rey replaced the clothes she had on with the dress and then headed back into the bathroom to do her hair.

Rey pulled out her curling iron out of the bottom of the sink, plugging it in and turning it on. The red light blinked letting her know the iron was heating up.

Rey poked her head around the corner of the bathroom and squinted her eyes to see the clock on her bedside table.

"11:45, 15 minutes I can do this." Rey murmured to herself, pulling her head back into the bathroom.

---

After fifteen minutes had passed, Rey hopped into her car and sped downtown to Koffie's.

"Okay, you got this in the bag, ju-just stop thinking about it, you can do this." Rey rubbed her eyes and got out her car.

Rey shut the door of her car, locked it and proceeded up the sidewalk to the doors of the tiny cafe. She wrapped her hand around the handle of the door and pulled it open. A wave of cold air washed over Rey's body, sending a shiver down her spine.

Rey looked around, scanning the tables for a single face. Rey sat down at an empty table, pulling out her phone. She scrolled through her Twitter feed, searching through all the recent tweets about bad parking jobs or not being able to get the new set of lipsticks and how much you hate your parents.

"Rey?" A voice interrupted.

Rey snapped her head up to be greeted by a man. He had chocolate skin with charcoal hair to complement his hazel eyes and white smile.

Standing to her feet, Rey flashed a smile. "Yeah, that's me."

"Great, I'm Finn." He stretched out a large hand. Rey wrapped her tiny hand around his and shook it.

Rey couldn't help but notice that he was very handsome and a gentleman. His shirt was an olive color and he wore a denim jacket over it with some jeans.

"Nice to meet you, Finn," Rey spoke gently, feeling her cheeks heat up.

"For a girl I met online, you are very beautiful and I would have never guessed you were British." Finn flashed another pearly white smile.

Rey chuckled embarrassingly and nodded, "Yeah people seemed to be surprised when they hear my voice."

Finn quirked his eyebrows, "Well I am very happy to hear your voice. Shall we sit?"

Rey snapped back into reality and realized she wasn't here to stare at him all day. "Uh, yeah."

Rey took her seat again and set her bag down by her feet. "So, Rey. Tell me about yourself."

"If I didn't know any better I would say this was turning into an interview."

"I grew up in North London with my adoptive parents until I was eighteen and that was when I moved from the U.K to the U.S. I found an apartment and continued my last year of high school and now I want to go to university."
