Chapter 15

Rey came to a walk as she crossed the white painted finish line, putting her hands on her knees, "Time?" She asked Hux. Hux pressed a button on the side of the stopwatch, "7:14." Rey nodded, sitting down on the grass.

She watched slowly as the rest of her peers that she lapped, staggered along the brick colored track. Rey even caught a glimpse of Aaron struggling to catch his breath, "Common Aaron breath in through your nose and out through your mouth." Rey shouted.

Aaron continued, trotting up and down, rolling his eyes. "Shut... the fuck.... up," He exasperated. Rey let a hard laugh before shifting her eyes back to the grass she sat on.

She entangled her fingers in the pieces of grass,the sound of the green fraying beneath someone sitting down next to her made Rey turn her head. "What was your time."

Rey rolled her eyes and returned back to wrapping her finger in the fresh green material, "Do you not know how to take a hint?" Ren chuckled, "Did you forget that I am still your superior?"

Rey simply chuckled, not saying a word but watching as the flag polls rattled in the wind, bouncing back and forth. "Why are you doing this." Rey asked, glancing over to the raven haired mystery sitting right next to her.

Ren peered over to her, squinting, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Jumping to her feet, Rey rubbed her face aggressively, "What do you mean you don't know what I'm talking about?! W-When we met at that goddamned party and you were extremely nice to me and we actually talked like human beings? Now I don't even know who I'm talking to now.."

Ren slowly stood to his feet, standing a whole seven inches tall than her. "What are you talking about?"

'Oh my fucking god Rey you idiot.'

"I-I don't know I'm getting used to this new school and I guess I just got into some other stuff--" Rey covered her mouth with her palm, cutting herself off.

Ren looked down at her, he didn't care not him, but Ben did. "Maybe you should get out of sun Kenobi. I'll walk you in."

Rey looked up towards him, a sliver of greenish hazel peering from behind his eyelid, letting her know there was a human being in there. "Are you being serious?" She asked.

"No, I would just suggest my service to you just out of amusement- yes I'm serious." Ren spat making Rey scrunch her face. Ren turned on his heel and walking towards the entrance of the track.

Rey started to panic, looking around frantically for Poe. "Rey!" Poe's voice called. "Help me!" Rey mouthed. Poe chuckled, jogging off the rest of the track.

The short walk towards the school was resumed in silence with Rey following behind Ren like a dog on a leash with Ren glancing behind towards her every so often.

Rey kept her gaze on the grass, acknowledging the tiny flowers that were scattered in random places along in the dark green environment until it all came to a screeching halt when the duo reached the concrete sidewalk.

Ren gripped the metal handle, pulling open the door, letting Rey in before himself. "Thank you." Rey spoke fraily.

The two walked down the extended hallway in silence, Ren's light breathing creating a synchronized beat for the both of them to listen to as they walked.

"You feeling a little bit better?" Ren asked, smirking. Rey scoffed, rolling her eyes, "Oh my god."

They made a sharp left walking towards the auditorium , "What?" Ren asks, looking at her. "You're so delusional.." Rey laughing softly.
