Rey clicked the button on her keys and unlocked her car. She popped the trunk and slipped the boxes inside. Rey crossed off the things on her mental check list, coming to the conclusion that she had everything.

"Okay, let's do this." Rey exhaled before jumping into the driver's seat of her car and throwing the gear into drive.

"Hi!"

Rey almost jumped ten feet in the air before she turned around to see a girl with shiny brown hair and pearly pink lipstick.

"H-Hello." Rey stuttered while trying to readjust her grip on the boxes in her hands. The girl flashed a slightly yellow smile that made Rey cringe and stuck out her hand.

"I'm Kaylee." She smiled waiting for Rey to take her hand. Rey looked at the girl, Kaylee, then to her hand.

"Sorry, my hands are full." Rey conjured up an excuse. She wasn't one to judge a cake by its icing but Rey was just not in the mood at the moment.

"Oh, I can walk you up to your room if you would like?" Kaylee grabbed for Rey's things but Rey pulled away before she could reach her.

"No no, really, it's okay." Rey rushed passed her and sped down the sidewalk while Kaylee was swept away with the crowd.

Rey sighed a sigh of relief and walked through the court yard anxiously. People wearing shirts with 'Fate Academy' displayed across the front carried boxes filled with notebooks and blankets.

Booths lined sides of the walk way, offering people free memberships and 'preparation for the real world'.

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense. This world is fake and like when we graduate we're born again, yeah that's definitely how it works."

As she walked through the maze of stands, Rey finally approached the registration booth. She walked up to the tiny table and glanced down at the pamphlets that were stacked on the table as she set down her box.

"Hi. How may I help you?" The man sitting in the behind the table asked.

He had deep olive skin with shiny ebony hair. His smile was the warmest thing she had felt in ninety-degree weather.

"U-um, yeah, I need to sign in. The lady on the phone said I needed to come here first."

The man corked an eyebrow and glanced down at her box, "Okay great, what is your name? And I can have someone take that up to your room." He took Rey's box and set it behind his chair.

"My name is Reyanne Kenobi but I don't know what room I'm in."

"I can just find your name and your room number is right next to it," he flipped the page and let out a satisfied 'mph'. "That's a cool name. Reyanne."

"T-Thank you. My friends call me Rey for short." Rey stuttered, drawing a stray hair behind her ear.

"Well Rey, my name is Poe. And you are in room 1008."

They both drew silent, Rey letting out a weak cough.

"Oh!" Poe exclaims looking back down at the list again.

"Okay, Rey you are now signed in but it seems that you haven't picked your clubs or EC's."

Rey cocked an eyebrow, "What is an EC?"
