"Finally got your three EC's?" Poe asks as Rey handed him her clip board.

"Yup," is all Rey says. Poe scanned her paper, going over her findings.

"Art, Writing and Chess Club?" Poe emphasized the last one. Rey cocked an eyebrow, "Yeah. Why?"

Poe let out a chuckle, "Nothing, nothing I just wouldn't think of you actually join chess club. You DO look like that edgy art student that writes for fun but I would never think Chess Club."

Rey scoffed and folded her arms over her chest, "Why do you keep saying it like it's a contagious disease?"

"I'm not! I'm just saying that you don't look like the type to be interested in the art of chess." Poe grew defensive fast.

"Well.... I am as a matter of fact." Rey mumbled under her breath. "Okay, well, I guess I'll get these EC's to the front desk and they will send you an email with all the information about your club. I would recommend you starting a group chat of some sort between you and your clubs. It's easier."

"Okay thanks, Poe," Rey says, still a little bit angry.

"Whatever, go to the front desk and they'll get you your schedule." Poe cracked a smile.

Rey smiled back, walking towards the concrete steps that led into the school.

The cold metal handle bundled itself under Rey's touch. As she pulled open the door, a wave of cold air slapped her in the face. The giant hallway seemed to have never ended if it weren't for the pieces of paper with sharpie scribbled on them where to go.

'Front Desk'

Rey sighed and walked through the door into a small lobby type space. The air was clean like someone had just vacuumed or something. Small potted plants lined the small office along with pictures of founding fathers and 'inspiring people'.

There were two other people waiting in line to get their schedules as well so Rey took it as a sign to take a seat for a while.

She sat down on the cushioned seat and exhaled. She wondered about how she would fit in here. What if she hated it here?

"Sweetie?"

Rey shifted her eyes from her lap to the lady behind the desk.

"I can help you now." She smiled.

Rey nodded. It felt like two seconds after she sat down and now the two people had already left.

"I was calling out to you for a while there. I was about to call the nurse." The lady joked, exposing her top front teeth while letting out a loud cackle. Rey only smiled softly.

"I-I'm here to get my schedule." Rey stuttered, fiddling with the ring on her finger. "Okay, whats your name?"

"Reyanne Kenobi," Rey responded, feeling like she's answered that question over a million times today. The lady disappeared behind the desk and in a door behind the desk, "Ah, Reyanne."

She returned with a yellow piece of paper in her hands. "Here you are, my dear." She slid the piece of paper across the desk.

"And you know what room you're in correct?" The lady asked, cocking an eyebrow.

"Yep." Rey nodded and faked a smile.

"Well, Reyanne, you are good to go." The lady stated. Her lips forming a small smile.

Rey thanked her before walking out the doors, swinging open the door with a thud.

"Ow, hey watch it!" A voice spoke out.
