What is going on here? What is Amanda doing here? Why? I don't understand.

At that very moment words failed me. I was confused, dazed and didn't understand the world anymore. What is the meaning of this? Amanda was here. Amanda was with Keane, hugging him.

Those thoughts came to my mind but I seemed incapable of grasping the meaning of the whole situation. The scene that was unfolding before my eyes was unfathomable. Am I being pranked? Was this a joke?

I stood there frozen, rooted to the spot and didn't know whether to approach them or to leave them. Moments passed, I didn't know how long, but finally the logical part in my brain gained the upper-hand and ordered me to just back off and let them talk.

Just the way I want, and need to talk to Vic the dick when I was ready for it. Of course, Keane and Amanda needed to have a conversation with each other as well to find some closure. My brain registered people's forms around me, their presence, but I didn't see and recognize anyone. I was still pre-occupied with thoughts of Keane and Amanda.

Closure? Closure? That's a load of crap and you know it. She mentioned something about love when I met her at the comfort room. She wants Keane back. She doesn't want closure at all.

Before I could do anything, I saw Keane grabbing Amanda by her wrist and pulling her along with him out of the ball room. I didn't even think when I followed them. It was pure instinct. I didn't want to lose sight of Keane and just kept my eyes on him the whole time.

Keane went to the front desk, talked to the clerk before walking over to the elevator. Of course, I couldn't enter the lift with them. Keane would definitely recognize me even with my mask on. I found myself in a predicament from which I didn't even have to get myself out of because Keane and Amanda got on the elevator and it closed before I could do anything.

I shut my eyes in frustration. Where are they going? I didn't know what to do. Once again my mind was blank. I walked over to the nearest wall, took off my mask, leaned against it and shut my eyes as if trying to block out my whole environment along with images of Keane and Amanda together.

When I felt a warm body brushing against the right side of my body I was hopeful. I didn't want to admit to myself how I very much wished for Keane to be the one who just stopped to stand next to me, but my disappointment was obvious in my eyes when I looked at the person. It was Levi.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I couldn't find Keane," his voice was apologetic, "but don't worry I haven't given up my search. I was just about to go look outside when I saw you standing here."

"Don't worry about it. I know where he is," I admitted with a long sigh filled with dismay and some sort of surrender to the whole situation with Keane and Amanda.

"Hmm..." he was pensive, "then why are you here and not with him?" There was a short pause before he continued, "What's going on? Where is he?" He sounded alarmed and worried.

I pointed towards the elevator door, "He got on there with Amanda," my voice sounded blasé as if it was no big deal to me at all, when in fact I was a total wreck inside. I just felt powerless.

"Are you serious?"

"Why do you think would I be joking about such thing?" I was irritated with his question which was obviously just a rhetorical one. He reacted the way I did which was complete disbelief at the whole situation.

"Of course, of course. You're right. I'm sorry. That was a dumb question," he was mumbling apologetic words trying to calm me as if he could see that there was something brewing inside me. "Wait here," were his last words before leaving my side to talk to the person behind the front desk.
