"You excited for P.E today? My class is joining yours, so we'll get to hang out!" Liz was getting all excited because her Senior class was joining my Junior class for P.E. I was more worried about the fact that Liz would be witness to my silly crush on Peter Parker, who was also in my P.E class. "Yeah, so excited."

We took a left at the end of the hall, heading towards the gym. By the looks of it, most of the other students were already there, changing into their gym gear. "Come on, let's get changed before Coach Wilson gets too grumpy." I nodded to Liz, scanning the gym. I couldn't see Peter or his friend Ned, which was a relief. Maybe they weren't here today. I became distracted by my thoughts and walked aimlessly towards what I thought was the girls changing room.

Instead, I walked straight into someone. It was Peter, who was just exiting the guys changing rooms, his shirt only half on. This meant I'd put out my hands to stop myself, only to be pushing on Peter's surprisingly toned stomach. "Woah- Oh hey, Jess." Peter was just as red as I was, hurriedly pulling his shirt down before anyone else could see him half naked. "H-Hi Peter."

I tried to move to the left so I could get to the girls changing room, but Peter seemed to have the same idea. I then stepped to the right, Peter mirroring my movements. With a little laugh, I grabbed Peter's shoulders, making him stay still so I could step around him. "Excuse me, Parker." Peter was sheepishly smiling, and I felt his eyes on my back as I walked to the girls changing rooms. As soon as I opened the door, Liz ambushed me with our other friend Rachel behind her.

"Did you talk to Peter?? How'd it go??" Rachel blurted out, Liz looking at her in confusion. "What? Wait, do you like Peter??" I nervously smiled, but I knew they could tell from my scarlet cheeks. "Aw, that's so cute!" Liz started to chat away to Rachel about Peter and I, allowing me to slip away and change into my gym gear. I then stowed away my bag in a locker, walking out behind Liz and Rachel.

Coach Wilson had set up the old TV with presumably one of the Exercise DVD's that featured Captain America. Students were lining up on the bleachers, sitting in one big group so we could all see the TV. I felt eyes on me and looked up to see Peter watching me from the bleachers, sitting next to Ned. It wasn't in a creepy way, either. It was almost as if he was enamoured with me. This just brought the heat back to my cheeks.

Liz found us a seat near the front, and suddenly I was sandwiched between her and Flash, the school's resident rich asshole. Coach Wilson waited until everyone was settled, before pressing play on the DVD. Captain America came on screen and started to talk about the attributes of being a soldier, and how much work it took to be healthy, both spiritually and physically. He then listed off stretches, partner activities, and individual activities that I assumed we would be doing today.

Once the DVD ended, Coach Wilson stood up from his chair. "Alright! Seniors, you're Group One. Juniors, Group Two." He had us move into our two groups, so I had to say goodbye to Liz and Rachel, walking over to the group of Juniors. "Group One, move onto the track and do some laps as a warm up! Group Two, you're on the workout first. Pair up!" Great. Now I had to pair up with someone, and I didn't know anyone in my gym class except for Peter, Ned and their friend Michelle. And I didn't really know them anyway.

Students around me got up from the bleachers, pairing up with other students. I was left to stand and look around almost nervously. What was I supposed to do when I was left without a partner? "Hey, Jess." Hearing my name, I turned around to find Michelle standing behind me. "Wanna be my partner?" She was as emotionless as normal, but I was still thankful it was someone I knew. "Yes please." I jogged after her when she took the stairs down to the middle of the gym, where there were mats set up for us to use.
