Liza and Gabbie came in laughing as they sat down in their seats. Liza sat in front of Gabbie, and Gabbie sat one seat behind her. While Gabbie and Liza were dying laughing, and having a great time, everyone was staring. Liza had some sort of glow around her that everyone could see but her. But everyone's staring was soon interrupted when David and Alex walked in.
"It's David and Alex.. He's single." Gabbie whispered as she pointed at Alex and smirked.
"Shut up Gabbie!" Liza laughed while nudging Gabbie in the arm. But as soon as she did that she felt a light tap on her shoulder.
"Hey Liza... Can I sit here?" Alex said smiling.
"Oh.. Of course!" Liza said smiling as she dramatically waved to the seat next to her. But David just stared. He watched Alex sit right next to Liza. It hurt him, somewhere in that player heart of his, it just started hurting."David! Come sit next to me." Gabbie said smiling as she patted the seat down.
"Thanks.." David said as he rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Hi David." Liza said with a small smile before turning back around.
"Hi.." David said smiling and blushing while looking down. The whole time Gabbie just stared at David.
"Oh my god, what was that?!" Gabbie asked obviously confused.
"What! Nothing!" David said while rolling his eyes. Gabbie always was up in his business. But it was helpful sometimes because it helped him get advice or talk about thinks he needed to get off of his chest without actually asking for it. But he would never tell her that.
"You really like her. And you know I love you, but this is different. Liza isn't one of the girls you casually f**k at Friday night parties. She's really sweet, and funny, and beautiful, and you aren't messing her up." Gabbie whispered. But immediately after she said it she looked straight ahead.
David wanted to argue with Gabbie , but class had just started. Liza deserved love and comfort and someone who could make her smile. David wanted to give her all of that. But Gabbie was right. She wasn't one of those one night stands. She was too special.
"Yeah, and if you want to hear more amazingly funny stories you should sit next to me at lunch." Alex whisper laughed while staring at Liza.
"I would love to hear more about your bunny stories any day. Consider it done." Liza said laughing quietly. Alex just smiled. So this is why Dave is going crazy... Alex thought to himself while looking back down.
"What are they doing.." David whispered to Gabbie who was taking notes.
"I don't know.. something about sitting together at lunch." Gabbie mumbled while she wrote her notes down.
David just cringed. The thought of Liza laughing with Alex was gross. But he pushed that thought out of his head and attempted to focus on anything but Liza's curly hair in that mini bun ahead of him
"You're fun as h*ll Liza." Alex said laughing as he picked up his papers.
"That's what he said." Liza said innocently smirking as she started laughing.
"See... that's what I mean." Alex said.
"Well. I'm going to go talk to Kristen and Scotty before my next class." Alex said as he started heading for the door.
"Tell them I said hi!" Liza yelled as Alex walked out.
He's so fun to be around. And a really good distraction from David. Liza thought to herself. But as soon as she turned around there he was.
"Hey Lizabug." David said smiling."Who's that?" Liza said laughing as she started walking out the door with Gabbie by her side.
"That's your nickname. Obviously." David said rolling his eyes and smiling."That's honestly the worst nickname , I've ever heard." Liza said walking out of the classroom.
The hallway was crowded with students, but Liza and David didn't notice. The only thing they noticed was each other. And both of them loved it. But then a hand came flying towards Liza's face extremely fast, about to smack her. But Liza quickly grabbed the hand and pulled it down with one swift motion. "Nice nails." Liza said smiling as she slowly let go of the hand. Everyone stared in awe of what Liza just did. Not only did she stand up to the most popular girl in school, but she did it smoothly and nicely. Everyone stared as Melanie sat with her mouth wide open. Then Gabbie started dying laughing .
"What do you want Melanie?" Gabbie asked, still cracking up.
"I just wanted to see what this little girl was doing with my boyfriend!" Melanie growled as she looked at Liza.
"Actually it's little brown girl. If you're going to call me little, you might as well describe me completely. And I'm talking to my friend David. Your boyfriend or not, he's still my friend." Liza said smiling as she walked away with Gabbie by her side. The whole grade stood in awe as Liza walked away with Gabbie so calm and beautifully, while Melanie had a fit.
"Why didn't you stand up for me!" Melanie screamed at David after everyone left.
"Because we aren't dating! And she's my friend. She's sweet, she's fun, and she's kind. And I like to hang out with her. You crazy bi***." David said as he walked up after Gabbie and Liza.
"Don't you have a girlfriend to please?" Gabbie laughed as she walked up the stairs with Liza.
"You know she's not my girlfriend!" David said back annoyed. And then out of the corner of David's eye, he saw Liza smiling.
