David stared at his hands until Liza came back in.
"Is there a reason you just decided to join my class five minutes late?" The teacher said promptly.
"Well if I must explain. Every month a female goes through a special cycle called the-" Liza started to say smiling but was soon interrupted by the teacher.
"Thank you, Ms. Koshy... Next time please handle your personal matters before my class..." He said awkwardly before turning back around. Around the classroom, you could hear the chuckles from different students. Liza sat down next to David
"But I saw you outside with Sc-" David started to say smiling but Liza put her hand over his mouth.
"Sweetie. I don't know what you're talking about." Liza said smiling innocently while David smiled to himself.
"Please finish the worksheet with your partner next to you. We will discuss in 10 minutes." The teacher said before turning back around.
"So Pookie..." Liza said turning around laughing.
"What's with Scotty?" David said confused.
"Nothing... But my mom isn't going to be home all weekend and I am going to be so bored. Not that I'm not bored usually it's just going to be especially boring you know?" Liza rambled while David smiled.
This would be a great first date.... David thought to himself before blushing.
"We should do something at your house this weekend..." David said blushing.
"Oh with the group?" Liza said smiling while looking at David.
"Or... Alone." David said blushing.
"Oh like a date," Liza said grinning and laughing.
David went into instant panic mode.
"No! Of course not!"
Sh*t
Liza kept smiling and moved closer.
"What if I said it was a date," Liza said staring at him.
"I- I don't know..." David said blushing intensely.
"I'm kidding David. I'm not going to force you to go out on a date with me." Liza said pushing a piece of hair behind her ear before she looked away smiling.
"I wish you would've," David said quietly playing with his fingers.
"What?" Liza asked.
"Nothing... But I can come over tonight if you want. Gabbie, Alex, Kristen, and Scotty could come too." David said smiling.
"Perfect! Your siblings 100% have an invite if they want to come too." Liza said smiling.
"Yeah... no thanks." David said rolling his eyes while Liza laughed.
Liza pulled out her phone and quickly and put everyone in a group chat inviting everyone over and quickly put her phone away.
"Are you a f**king robot you type so fast," David said laughing but less than two seconds later Gabbie responded.
I'll be there and I'll bring pizza.
Liza laughed while typing back when both of their phones dinged again.
Scott and I will be there. (Thanks, Liza💓) Kristen texted back as well.
"What is the thanks for?" David asked suspiciously.
"I loaned her a pad earlier! Darn menstrual cycle!" Liza said awkwardly before turning around.
Menstrual cycle... Really Liza? Liza said to herself as she facepalmed herself.
David just laughed as he turned around.
After the final two periods were over, it was time to go home.
The whole gang met up outside the door where Liza sat on the railing.
"Everyone come over to my house at six. Wear something comfy and for some reason, Kristen is set on bringing Just Dance 2017." Liza said as she looked at Kristen laughing.
Scotty wrapped his arms around Kristen tightly smiling while she laughed.
"You know you love it," Kristen said looking at Gabbie.
"Yeah, you're right. I for one can't wait to see David and Liza do a great rendition of Shape of You," Gabbie said smiling as David and Liza blushed. Alex started to burst into laughter but David shot him a glare.
"Well... I'll go to my house and get everything ready." Liza said smiling before walking away with David.
"I'll drop you off and Scotty is going to pick you up to take you to my house," Liza said as she climbed into the car.
"Sounds okay to me," David said smiling.
"Tell everyone I said hi.," Liza said driving to his house.
"I will. And Liza?" David said looking at her.
"Yeah, Pookie?" Liza said smiling while pulling into his driveway.
"You, Elizabeth, are one of the best things that ever happened to this friend group," David said smiling and staring at Liza blush.
"So you later..." David said laughing for putting his hand on hers before he walked out the door.
As soon as David walked into his house and closed the door he yelled in excitement.
"Did you kiss her yet?" Toby yelled from upstairs.
"No... not yet," David yelled back rolling her eyes.
Liza sat for a good 10 seconds trying to take in everything that happened. She smiled and blushed. And that wasn't even a compliment about them. Well not completely at least. Liza drove off to her house smiling like a kid.
Liza walked into her house, that still gave off the same feeling of loneliness it did when she left. She walked in and went into her hall closet and pulled out seven huge blankets. She pulled out a pitcher from her cabinet and made lemonade and pulled out coke cans. She put out three bowls of chips and checked the time.
5:46.
She ran upstairs and changed into some black shorts, and a DEH shirt. She took her hair out of the bun and used a blue hair clip to pull a piece of her hair back and put on blue socks to match.
5:52.
Liza slid down her staircase smiling.

Gabbie rang the doorbell and Liza slid across the floor until she got to the door.
"Galex!" Liza yelled smiling as she hugged them both.
"Galex?" Alex asked smiling.
"It makes it easier to greet you faster..." Liza said smiling as she took the pizza from Gabbie and put it on the table.
Gabbie and Alex both were wearing matching footie PJs with smiley faces on them.
"Did you guys get that recently..." Liza said laughing while looking up and down.
"We've had these since sophomore year." Gabbie said embarrased as she turned around.
"You have been OTP since day one!" Liza said happily clapping.
The door rang again and this time when Liza answered the door Kristen was standing right in front of the door wearing a Disney princess shirt and some shorts with a tiara on her head.
"Wow, I didn't know it was dress up like your favorite character from Toddlers and Tiara's day." Gabbie said smiling from the couch.
"I didn't know it was dress like Walmart soccer parent duo's but here we are," Kristen said confidently before putting her Just Dance CD on the table and sitting down on the couch with Scotty, who was wearing red footie PJ's.
"Where's David?" Liza asked as she walked over to the kitchen.
"Probably at a stupid par-" Kristen started but Gabbie nudged her in the arm.
"He told me he'd find a way to get here..." Scotty said slowly before turning around.
"Oh..." Liza said kind of deflated.
"He'll be here soon, I promise. And I love your shirt, very cute." Gabbie said laughing as she pulled Liza on the couch with everyone else. Everyone laughed as Liza jumped on the couch.
They each grabbed a blanket and turned on F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Just as they started watching, Liza noticed something different. The house didn't give off lonliness anymore. It felt happy again.

A/N: I am basically on time! My chapter deleted so I needed an extra two days to re-write, but I didn't wait an extra two weeks, and I am extremely proud of myself. (Anyone who reads regularly knows what I mean) I have recently listened to DEH and if you know what it is, comment down below and just love it with me.
