Liza and Daniel talked almost all class. They were instant friends. They laughed about stupid things that somehow just being together made funny.
By the end of the class they had over 40 inside jokes, one including the word syringe. There wasn't really a romantic connection, but they were way closer than they should've been for just meeting. Liza picked up her stuff and stood up next to Daniel, who was a shocking 6'3 in height. Liza was so busy laughing she didn't notice David sneak over.
"Hey Liza... I'm so sorry I -" David started but Liza quickly interrupted him.
"Dan, David, David , Dan!" Liza said fake smiling as she looked between them.
"Nice to meet you." Daniel said shaking David's hand awkwardly before pulling away and wiping his hand on the side of his pants.
"What the fu-" David started but Gabbie ran into the room.
"Liza!" Gabbie said running.
"Gabbie!" Liza said laughing.
"This is Dan." Liza said laughing.
"Hi Dan, I'm Liza's best friend." Gabbie said smiling, and Dan smiled back.
"I love your hair." He said laughing while brushing one of his curls out of his eye.
"Aww thank you!" Gabbie said smiling while looking at Liza.
"Phil wait up! Sorry Liza see you 3rd period." Dan said before following another tall boy out the door.
"Who's that?" David said rolling his eyes. Gabbie instantly nudged David in the side causing him to flinch.
"He's just a new friend... I didn't have any one to talk to this class anyways." Liza said responding back smiling as she walked out.
"BURN-" Gabbie stared but David looked at her with an annoyed and depressed facial expression.
"I mean that's really unfortunate..." Gabbie said pulling her hair behind her ear before awkwardly walking out.
Fix this please. I owe you. David sent to Gabbie before closing his phone.
Gabbie read the message and rolled her eyes. She instantly caught up to Liza who stopped at her locker to write a little more in her journal about David.
"LIZA!" Gabbie said running as she panted.
"Maybe we do need fitness." Liza said laughing as she stared at Gabbie.
"You truly should be a comedian. Anyways... who's Dan?" Gabbie asked out of breathe.
"He's awesome! He's interested in YouTube. He loves Jennifer Lawrence and Evan Peters. He's like my fan-girling twin. We have the same dreams in life. He even told me about his crush." Liza rambled happily.
"And I thought you got over your crush on David." Gabbie said laughing.
"I never had a crush on David." Liza said rolling her eyes and obviously trying to hide a smile. While Liza was clearly lying David shyly walked up behind her.
"Hey ... Liza!" David said biting his bottom lip and looking at her.
"H-hi.." Liza said falling into her locker and instantly blushing.
"YEAH YOU TOTALLY DON'T." Gabbie said laughing.
"What?" David said smirking as he looked at Liza.
"Nothing! Nothing." Liza said getting up and moving her curly bang out of her face.
"I like your hair." David said smiling as he stared at her. He had a strong urge to touch it. He didn't know why either.
"Oh thanks. I didn't really do anything to it I just pulled up into a ponytail and left a piece out." Liza rambled while smiling.
"I like it like that." David said laughing as he looked at Liza.
"O-oh thanks..." Liza said blushing as she looked around.
"I'm just going to go to meet you guys in US History. I have detention during free period today, so see you during advisory Liza. And David.. text me." Gabbie said before turning around and going to her next class.
"So.. what's up?" David said nudging Liza in the side.
"Nothing much Pookie." Liza said laughing while looking up at David.
"Why do you call me pookie?" David asked looking at Liza.
"You'll find out eventually... I told you that." Liza said laughing.
"Right..." David said quietly while smiling.
"Did you finish the US History homework?" Liza said as they turned the corner to walk into class.
"Sh*t we had homework!" David said facepalming himself as Liza laughed.
"You know if you ever need help with anything I can help. School is kinda easy for me." Liza said as she smiled innocently at David. But David's not understanding things was one of his biggest insecurities. People like Gabbie and Alex and all of his other friends would make fun of how little he knew and how little he understood, and ever since then he's refused to ask for help. He came home with D's every quarter, but never any F's. I mean he wasn't a failure.
"Oh... I'm fine." David said fake smiling as he walked in the classroom.
"Oh okay." Liza said awkwardly following behind him.
Liza would occasionally look at David scramble to take notes and easily and quickly drift off during lessons, so she took notes for him as well. She drew hearts around the paper in black ink and put boxes and dots around important information, also written in black. He always wore it , so she figured it was his favorite color. She wrote her notes in lavender because that was her favorite color. At the end of class Liza slid the notes over the David and smiled.
"Just in case... We have a quiz tomorrow. It's only 4 questions though." Liza whispered as the teacher ranted about students leaving before she dismissed them. David didn't know what to do. He blushed like crazy and took the notes.
"I appreciate it.. I'm just not good with appreciation and stuff..." David said looking everywhere except Liza's eyes. He knew that if he looked at them he'd get lost and feel all the feelings that he wasn't used to feeling. And he'd feel the urge to put his arm around her small body, and cuddle together and watch movies but he knew he couldn't do that. So he looked other way.
"You're welcome. It's cool!" Liza said smiling a lot as she hugged him around the neck.
"See you at lunch." Liza said as she walked off smiling.
My god she's so hot. David thought to himself as he smiled and got up from his chair. He walked out the door of US History feeling a little more cared for, and feeling a lot more things. Whatever he felt for Liza, it just expanded about 20 times bigger. He didn't know what it was, but he loved every second of it. He decided he was going to go hang out with Dom and Alex, his closest friends that were guys during the free period. David walked out with the biggest smile on his face and went to see his friends.
Liza was going to hang out with Dan in the library, considering that was the only place she knew where it was. When she got there Dan was already there with a cup of coffee.
"Hey Daniella." Liza said smiling as she sat down across from him.
"Hello Eli," Dan said laughing as she looked up.
Dan and Liza talked the whole time and laughed like crazy. They laughed, and talked , and Liza learned a lot of things she didn't know before. But it just made her appreciate the their friendship even more more.
"It's time for advisory." Dan said laughing and getting up.
"Here's my number. We need to go explore some aesthetically pleasing coffee shops in LA sometime." Liza said laughing as she entered her number as L-Dawg in his phone.
"YES. I'm looking forward to that." Dan said smiling as he took his phone back.
"Later!" Liza said laughing as she ran out of the room.
Advisory was exactly the same as the day before. Alex helped Liza figure out simple equations and Gabbie didn't fall asleep. By the end of the study session, Gabbie , Alex, and Liza were laughing so hard that they started to make a crowd around them. And by all of them making a crowd, I mean just Liza and her telling jokes. Liza was just a likable person. Everyone wanted to be around her, but she didn't even notice. She looked at herself as ugly, and stupid, and clingy. Little did she know, everyone around her loved her. But she didn't. She liked that everyone was laughing because of her though, so she continued to do so. Finally the lunch bell rang and everyone after saying a quick goodbye left.
"Lunch, Finally! I'm starving." Gabbie said laughing as she got up.
"You can only eat the salad today." Alex said smiling innocently following behind her.
"But it's spaghetti day!" Gabbie groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"I'm supposed to be helping you! I'm dedicated to helping you." Alex said laughing as he followed Gabbie.
"TRY AND STOP ME!" Gabbie screamed as she ran towards the cafeteria.
"GABRIELLE HANNA, DON'T YOU DARE!" Alex screamed running after her.
"They're so cute." Liza said laughing as she walked out the door. Right outside the door waiting for her was David.
"Hi pookie!" Liza said laughing as she saw David.
"Hey Lizabug." David said smiling back.
"I'm sitting with you at lunch." Liza said smiling.
"I was hoping so." David said laughing as he walked to the cafeteria nudging Liza.
