"Girl, spill," Corinna said as they walked away from David.
"What?" Liza said smiling innocently while looking at the rest of the girls.
"Girl you know! You totally like David." Kristen said smirking and laughing.
"Definitely not as much as you like Scotty," Liza said smirking and licking her lips.
"Shut up..." Kristen said blushing.
She really is in love with him.... yuck. But cute. Liza thought to herself as she faked a smile at Kristen.
"So... I heard you're going over to his house?" Gabbie said twirling her hair and laughing.
"Yeah..." Liza said smiling as she quickly sped up to her car.
"Oh my God, my ship is sailing?" Gabbie yelled as she ran up to Liza.
"There is no ship! We aren't even on the dock." Liza said laughing as she climbed into her car.
"Mhm. Sure." Gabbie responded rolling her eyes.
"Bye, Liza!" Kristen and Corinna said as they started walking over to Dom and Scotty.
"They're cute," Liza whispered to Gabbie.
"Not as cute as you and David.... But I left my phone number in your backpack, so text me before you go." Gabbie said hugging Liza.
"Bye bestfriend!" Liza said in a preppy voice laughing as Gabbie walked over to her car.
"BYE GURL." Gabbie said flipping her hair as she laughed.
I love her. Liza thought laughing as she pulled out her phone and put it on the seat next to her. She pulled out Gabbie's number out of her front pocket of her backpack and texted her hi and started her car. she needed to go home and do a little homework before she left for David's.
"Hey, Mom! I had the greatest day ever! I-" Liza said smiling but then she walked over to the edge of her kitchen counter.
Hey, Liza!
Sorry, work today. You'll be fine. I hope your day was great.
- Mom
Liza sighed as she crumpled the note up and threw it in the trash. She started thinking about back home in Texas, and everything she left behind. She started thinking about her dad and her old house. Her thoughts were soon filled with anger and sadness. So she did what any normal teenager would do. She screamed. She closed her eyes and screamed as loud as she could. She screamed all the way into her bedroom, and she screamed as she fell on her bed.
She stayed face-planted in her bed for a good five minutes before checking her phone again.
The bright numbers of 5:30 popped up on her phone screen as she jumped out of bed. She quickly asked David for the address and put on some lip gloss, and a small black purse/backpack. She walked downstairs, writing a note to her mom telling her she was at a friends house and hopped in her car."Attention losers. Liza is coming over because she really wants to meet you guys. DO NOT do anything stupid." David said glaring at his siblings.
"We wouldn't have to if all the girls you brought over weren't sl-" Toby started but Ester covered his mouth.
"What he meant to say, is all your friends are ugly and rude..." Ester said glaring at Toby before moving her hand.
"I can't wait to meet her." David's dad said smirking as he got up from the couch.
"Dad... Please don't." David groaned as he rolled his eyes and sat on the couch.
"Son, I am just making sure your friends are good enough for you! It's not my fault none of them are." David's dad said as he walked to the kitchen to finish setting the table. David checked his phone and got a text from Liza saying she was here.
"She is here everyone!" David said sighing as his whole family sat down on the couch smiling.
The doorbell rang and David instantly got the door.
"Hi, David! You have a really nice house." Liza said smiling as she looked at David.
"Y-yeah. Come on in." David said stuttering. Liza slowly walked in and saw David's family.
"Hi, I'm Liza. You have a lovely home Mr. and Mrs. Dobrik." Liza said smiling as she looked around. The whole family just stared at her with their mouths open.
"She is actually pretty!" Toby yelled loudly and Ester and Sara slapped him in the arm.
"Toby!" Ester said rolling her eyes.
"He is absolutely adorable," Liza said laughing as she looked at David.
"Wow... You are nice..." Ester said trying to read her. She was trying her best to be rude, but Liza just had such a kind bubbly nature, that you just didn't want to.
"You are really pretty... I am so jealous... What the heck." Liza said laughing while looking at Ester.
David just stared at Liza. All of his friends just asked to leave and go to his room. Which now that he thought about it was probably why his siblings always yelled and threw things, and banged on the windows in the first place.
"And Sara you have the cutest outfits ever. You are going to have to take me on a tour of your closet." Liza said laughing while looking at Sara.
"You know... Ester has this dress she has that's a little big on her, but definitely too short for her. It was supposed to be for high school but she's already outgrown it height wise because mom said by the time she was in high school she should be a good 5 foot 5. You are very short so I think it could fit you! But I don't know. Are you 5 feet tall? That's really short." Sara said smiling as she rambled.
"Get to the point Sara!" Toby shouted and Ester rolled her eyes.
"Maybe you could try it on! It would be just like having a big sister!" Ester said giggling as she looked at Liza.
"I would LOVE that! As long as you guys don't mind..." Liza said looking at David's parents, who were also in shock.
"O-oh yes of course. Dinner won't be for another 15 minutes!" David's mom said smiling.
"Thank you, Mrs. Dobrik," Liza said smiling. But before she could say anything else Toby ran up the stairs, and Ester and Sara grabbed Liza's hands and pulled her upstairs.
"Wow.." David's dad said smiling while looking at David.
"I like her. She seems really nice. " David's mom said smiling as she walked into the kitchen.
"What the f**k?" David said looking at his parents smiling.
"David Julian Dobrik! Don't you ever say that again!" Davids dad said angrily as he rolled his eyes and picked up his coffee.
"Sorry, but mom actually likes one of my friends!?" David said smiling.
"Well, we will just wait and see after my questions." David's dad said smirking as he walked over to David and put his arm around him.
"Dad. No. Stop." David said glaring at him.
"I can't just stop I-" David's dad started but was interrupted with Ester clearing her throat.
"Attention Losers!" Ester said mocking David.
"Ha Ha Ester," David said rolling his eyes.
"The new and improved Liza Koshy! With her date Toby Dobrik!" Ester said moving away from the stairs. David stared at Liza as she walked down in a black dress with her white converse on from before. Her curly hair was down to her shoulders and it looked way prettier than it did in the bun. Liza was holding hands with Toby who had a little red bowtie. Liza laughed with Toby as he ran up to his parents showing his bowtie off. David wouldn't stop staring, he couldn't stop staring. This was just his sister's makeover. He couldn't imagine how beautiful she'd look if she did it.
"Does David like what he sees?" Sara says with Ester laughing while Liza tries not to smile, but is obviously failing.
"Shut up and go in the kitchen," David said rolling his eyes and pushing them into the kitchen.
"H-hi Liza.," David said staring at her while sitting on the couch. From the corner of David's eyes, he could see his whole family eavesdropping from the other room.
You have got to be kidding me. David thought to himself as he shifted his focus back to Liza.
"Hi Pookie," Liza said smiling as she sat next to David and smiled.
"Your siblings are the cutest kids of all time David," Liza said smiling as she pushed a piece of hair behind her ears.
"They really aren't," David said glaring at Ester who was doing the worst job at eavesdropping ever.
"Toby is honestly so adorable. He has such a cute little laugh and he's full of energy. Sara has a heart of gold and talking to her was like talking to a cute mini angel! And Ester is like the little sister I never had. She's amazing." Liza said smiling as she moved closer to David.
"You are still my favorite," Liza whispered smiling as she got up from the couch.
My heart has never beaten this fast before.. David thought to himself as he cheeks started to heat up.
"Time for dinner!" David's mom said from the kitchen smiling as everyone sat down. Liza walked over to the table and at sat down next to Sara and David. David was still smiling when he came over to the table.
"Someone's smileyyy," Ester said while laughing.
"Well someone's uglyyy," David said imitating Ester while she rolled her eyes.
"Stop it!" David's mom said rolling her eyes.
"So Liza..." David's dad started.
Dad please no. David thought to himself before he stuffed spaghetti in his mouth.
"So... What kind of grades do you get in school?" David's dad asked looking at his plate.
"I have A's in every class except I have a B+ in math. But Alex has offered to work with me during advisory. My favorite subject is Language Arts. I love writing." Liza said smiling as she looked up at him.
Why Alex though... Why can't anyone else help you...Who cares you don't like her so it shouldn't bother you... David thought to himself as he looked down at his plate.
"That's nice. What do you plan on doing when you graduate?" David's dad asked as he put food in his mouth.
"I don't know. I would like to do something where I can entertain others using my personality." Liza said taking a bite of her food.
"Like YouTube." David said smiling and looking at her.
"Yeah!" Liza said smiling back and looking at David.
"I have never seen or heard about you before, and it's the middle of September. Where did you come from?" David's dad questioned swirling his spaghetti on his fork.
"Oh, I just moved here from Houston Texas with my mom." Liza responded as she twirled the spaghetti on her fork and popped in her mouth.
"What does she do?" David's dad questions while staring her down.
"She is a biochemist. She is barely ever home." Liza said twirling more spaghetti.
"Oh... I am sorry Liza." David's mom said sadly while trying to read Liza.
"It's okay. She really is a great mother... She is just really busy at work." Liza said fake smiling as she held up her fork.
Yeah. So busy she can't even say hi to her daughter.
"Well, you are always welcome here." David's dad said smiling.
"Really?" David said smiling while looking at his dad.
"I really like you, Liza. I am truly glad David met you." David's dad said smiling.
"Thank you, Mr. Dobrik." Liza said smiling as she looked at David.
David instantly started blushing and turned away.
"What the..." Toby said staring at David and Liza just smiled.
David's parents laughed as they all finished the rest of dinner happy and talking. Liza talked about memories she had in Texas, while David's family shared some things about Slovakia. After dinner, they all sat on the couch and talked. Liza sat in a chair with Toby while everyone laughed and it was an overall great time.
"Wow. It's already 8:50." Liza said laughing as she pulled out her phone.
"Well, I guess you should be going." David's mom said smiling as she stood up.
"Oh. I almost forgot my actual clothes. I'll be right back." Liza said laughing as she ran up the stairs.
"Why aren't you dating her?" Sara asked staring at David.
"Sara what the h*ll!" David said whispering as he rolled his eyes.
"I've never seen you look like that before..." Ester said smiling.
"So happy and blushy. It's way better than boring depressing David." Ester said looking at the rest of the family.
"It's obvious you like her." His mom said giggling.
"I didn't know we entered a reality tv show about teenage boy crushes, but can we talk about this later because she's upstairs man!" David said rolling his eyes and blushing.
"DAVID IS BLU-" Toby screamed but David put his hand over his mouth when Liza came down the stairs.
"Thank you so much for the delicious meal. I really enjoyed talking to you guys." Liza said smiling as she went up to hug David's parents.
"Wow, you're a hugger." David's dad said after he finished.
"Yeah..." Liza said laughing after she backed away.
"See you at school tomorrow David." Liza said smiling as she went up for a hug but David stuck his hand out.
"Okay..." Liza said laughing as she shook his hand and waved bye one last time before walking out.
"DID YOU JUST SHAKE HER HAND?!" Ester yelled rolling her eyes.
"I panicked! Okay!" David said facepalming himself.
Great. Now she probably thinks I friendzoned her.. even though we aren't dating and she doesn't like me.... David thought as he sat down on the couch.
"Why can't you date her instead of Melanie..." David's mom said as she cleaned up the dishes.
"I have not dated her!" David said aggravated as he rolled his eyes.
"Well you sure have fuc-" David's dad started but David started yelling.
"OKAY TIME FOR BED EVERYONE GOODNIGHT." David said as he ran up the stairs and closed the door.
He pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked his message from Liza.
I had so much fun at your house! What a family you got. We are defiantly hanging out again. A little hurt abt that friend-zone in front of your parents.... awkward. 😂anyways I'm going to stop now and go to "bed" which is really binge watching youtube. Anyways goodnight Pookie!
David smiled as he looked down at his phone. She was adorable in every single way. The fact that she rambled even when she texted was possibly the cutest thing he'd ever witnessed. But as he expected she thought he friendzoned her. He mentally face palmed himself as he wrote back and smiled.
Liza makes everything more exciting and happy... David said as he set his phone on his dresser. He took off his shirt and went to bed.Liza walked in her house and her mom wasn't home (surprise surprise).
She's probably out with friends after work... Liza sighed running her hands through her hair as she walked upstairs. Her phone beeped and she instantly perked up.
Hey, Lizabug. Having you at my house was the most fun I've ever had there. Not to mention they all adore you.... I think they like you more than they like me... And friendzone is the LAST thing I want you to think I was doing. Goodnight. I'm actually sleeping😂.
Liza screamed internally when she read the last part. Maybe he likes me! Well I mean the way he looks at me... I think .... but maybe he does that to every girl. But hopefully, he doesn't because DANG HE HOT. Liza said as she danced on her bed and laughed. She eventually stopped when she got out of breathe and sat down on her bed and pulled out her laptop. She typed in one of her favorite YouTubers and started binge watching. The perfect way to end a perfect night... Liza thought before she put all her focus on the screen.________________________________________________________________________
