Jessica awoke to find a ball of fire floating by her face. She sighed and rolled over muttering to Matt to stop it. As usual he giggled like the idiot he was.

She sat up and rubbed her eyes a few minutes later. Then walked over to the water cooler and splashed some water on her face.

Yawning, she perceived Matt rolling up all the sleeping bags, "Where's John?" She asked him.

"He's probably out looking for breakfast or something." Matt replied.

After he finished rolling up the sleeping bags, Matt drank some water from the cooler.

"Hey Jessica, do you want to come with me to pick some berries for breakfast?" He asked.

"Sure, the berries were good last night." Jessica replied.

"Ok, follow me then." Matt said and started walking off through the trees with a basket.

Jessica followed while giggling as Matt started skipping with the basket.

"Look, I'm Little Red Riding Hood!" He sang as he continued skipping.

Jessica giggled. "Matt how'd you and John end up as a team anyway?"

"Well our teacher assigned us as partners as soon as he realized that I could only read minds with John's wolf powers." Matt said as he skipped to a nearby berry bush.

Poor, John...she thought, grinning with amusement.

"Well, you guys sure make a funny team." Jessica said as she picked some berries and put them in Matt's basket.

"Thank you, as you can see, I'm the brains of the team." Matt replied, bowing before going back to picking berries.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed John sneaking up full wolf form behind Matt. She smiled at him, and he caught her eye. Then he curled his lips up, revealing long ivory fangs, which Jessica assumed to be a wolf's smile. She watched as John put his muzzle into the basket of berries Matt carried, and starting silently eating them. She giggling, as Matt picked more berries and put them in the basket, only to be eaten by John.

"What's so funny Jessica?" Matt asked smirking, "They don't have berries in the other world or something?"

Jessica howled with laughter in response and pointed to John. Matt looked at John and flicked him on the nose.

"Bad puppy! You know you're not to eat the berries before breakfast!" He said in his best annoyed voice.

John smirked and turned into a human again, but with berry juice all over his mouth.

"Now, you have to help us fill the basket all over again puppy." Matt said.

John rolled his eyes and filled the basket in a few minutes with berries.

"Good puppy!" Jessica said and patted John's black hair.

"Well I'll race you guys back to the camp site, and when I win, the loser has to say, 'Matt is awesome!" Matt yelled taking off at full speed with the basket of berries.

"I wouldn't count on that Matt." John yelled after him, turning full wolf and howling.

Matt ran faster yelling all the way, "Johnny, no turning into a wolf! It's cheating!"

Jessica ran past Matt and stuck her tongue out at him as John dashed ahead howling. John reached the camp site first and howled in victory as Jessica ran up behind him.
