DATE PART 1

JUGHEAD'S POV

I never would've thought me, Jughead Jones, would ever be going on a date with Riverdale's quarterback Archie Andrews. I never thought I would be going on a date, period. I was expecting to grow old with a bunch of dogs, and die with a cheeseburger in my hand. But here I am, dressed nice for once with my dad hovering outside my bedroom wondering where I'm going.

"Bye dad," I said quickly and before I could make it out the door my dad stopped it with his foot.

"What's the rush Jug? Got a hot date or something," he asked smirking and I could smell by the alcohol on his breath that he was a bit tipsy.

"Or something," I said and he just sighed and collapsed back onto the couch.

"Look son, if this relationship between you and I is gonna work we're gonna... n-need to communi-," he said slurring his words then before he could finish he fell asleep and I stood there shocked.

Well damn, that was easy.

I sped out the door, and saw Archie waiting for me outside in front of his red pick up truck. He had on a similar outfit as me, except he was wearing a red cardigan and a blazer. It was odd seeing him without his signature football jacket, but he looked great.

"Hey Jug, you look nice. Like, wow," he said and I smiled shyly as he opened the door to the truck for me to climb up.

Archie told me he was taking me to that new fancy ass Italian restaurant that's near Ronnie's house, and I was becoming more nervous. I have no idea how to act properly while eating, plus all I ever ate growing up were Pop's burgers. I've never had any other food, so who knows what I'll order. Something off the kids menu I guess...

"We're here Jug,"

I snapped out of my thoughts, and I saw the restaurant in front of me. It looked really fancy, and Archie noticed I was nervous. So, he took my hand and led me inside. I felt so much better.
