SURPRISE PART 2

ARCHIE'S POV

When I went to answer the door, I was really hoping it would be FP. But instead...

"Forget someone?" Cheryl asked standing in my doorway with basically the whole school behind her. There stood Reggie and Jason with a keg, and then I was ambushed.

After that, everything got a little out of hand. My boyfriends surprise party just turned into a house party within seconds. It was my fault really, I didn't tell Cheryl it was a small get together. But, she shouldn't of just invited herself. I looked everywhere for Jughead, but there was no sign of him anywhere.

"Betty! Have you seen Jughead?" I asked and she shook her head. My friends (who were invited) were all in the kitchen. Cheryl basically took over and the birthday boy was nowhere to be seen.

"Archie, he's in the basement," Kevin yelled over the music and I jogged over to the staircase that led to my basement/music space.

When I got there I saw Jughead sitting on the armchair with Hotdog sitting on his lap.

"You found me," he said seeming very annoyed and upset. I walked to the other chair beside him and sighed as I sat down.

"I'm really sorry Jughead, I had no idea Cheryl would do this," I said and he just nodded.

"Its ok Arch, you didn't know," he said looking at me and then I heard a car pull up and prayed it wasn't my dad or more kids from school.

I opened the garage door and saw FP get out his car. I smiled and waved him over. "Andrews, didn't know Jughead had this many friends," he said.

"He doesn't, Cheryl showed up and ruined our party," I explained and he nodded.

"Dad? What are you doing here?" Jughead asked getting up from his seat and Hotdog followed behind him.

"Well Archie and Cheryl told me about a little party you were having, and I wasn't going to show but they really convinced me. So, here...happy birthday," FP said handing Jug a box.

He opened it, and inside was a new laptop. Jughead smiled and hugged his dad. "Thank you,"

FP nodded and saw Hotdog sniffing his shoes. "Who's this little guy?"

"Oh, that's hotdog. Archie got him for me," Jughead replied and FP picked him up off the floor and hotdog licked his face.

"How nice of Archie to do this. He must be a great boyfriend,"

That's when it was my turn to be shocked. I mentally prepared for Cheryl's death in my head, going over every weapon possible to use on her for outing us.

"Dad, did Cheryl-

"She didn't have to tell me. There's no way just a friend would throw you a party AND get you a very expensive gift," FP said smirking.

"Mr. Jones we were going to tell you," I said and FP just smiled at us.

"Its fine, but if it were any other guy I wouldn't be so cool about it. Just take care of my boy," he said pointing at me and I nodded in agreement.

FP left saying he needed to wake up early for a job interview, and Jughead was proud of his dad. I went upstairs and saw everyone was gone, and I had my friends light the candles of the burger cake.

We all sang happy birthday, and then it was getting close to midnight. Betty and Veronica left saying they were staying over at Ronnie's house, and Kevin was meeting his boyfriend Joaquin in the morning for coffee.

Jughead was staying over, and we were currently in my bed staring at the ceiling. My dad came home an hour ago, and Hotdog was sleeping with Vegas (my dog) in his doggy bed.

"Well, that was a rollercoaster," Jughead said and I nodded in agreement.

"Yeah it was. But you had a great time though right?" I asked and Jughead smiled and nodded.

"I had an amazing time, thank you Archie,"  

With that our lips met in a deep kiss, and I snaked my arm around Jugheads waist pulling him closer. I really enjoy these moments, it being just the two of us, with no friends interrupting us. Before we got carried away, I pulled away from the kiss and looked my boyfriend in the eyes.

This was it, I had to tell him.

"I love you,"

Jughead was shocked, then gave me the cutest smile I've ever seen.

"I love you too Archie,"
