ARCHIE'S POV

Jughead has no reason to be upset, I was just as nervous as he was. But, I cant have us both being equally nervous, I wouldn't want him to feel uncomfortable. I've known Jughead since we were 4, and I know he's never been to a fancy place, but I just want to treat him the way he deserves. Even if it means digging into my college savings. The smile on his face is more important to me.

We went up to the man behind the podium, and I gave him my name. He looked in the book, and had us follow him to a table near the back. I didn't think Jug would want to be seen by so many people, so I figured he would want to sit somewhere lowkey.

I pushed his chair back for him, and he blushed and mumbled a 'thanks' before sitting down. The waitress showed up and handed us menus. "Would you boys like to start with drinks?"

Jughead perked up and said he wanted a coke, she wrote it down and I replied 'same'. After, Jughead skimmed through the menu and looked adorably confused. "I can barely pass Spanish class, how am I supposed to know what these are?"

I chuckled and pointed to the translations on the back. "Thanks Arch, I'm just trying not to mess up our date,"

"Just you being here is enough," I replied honestly, and he smiled brightly at me. A real, genuine smile. I've never seen him so happy, and I'm just lucky enough to be that person to make him happy.

After we ordered, Jughead and I just talked like we normally would. But, with a bit more flirting involved. We were holding hands over the table, and our waitress pointed out how cute we were. I'm pretty sure I heard her say she shipped us, but who knows. Wouldn't be the first time I heard it.

The night was slowly coming to an end, and I knew Jughead had a curfew. His dad may be a drunk, but he still cares when his son comes back home. So, after we shared a dessert, I paid the bill and led us back to my truck. On the way there, Jughead was holding my hand still. It was the best feeling, having him be mine. But then I realized I never asked him to be my boyfriend. Good job Andrews.

"Thanks for tonight Archie, I had a great time," Jughead said before I opened his door. He jumped down, and I was sweating a bit with nerves. The nerves I've been holding in all night are now deciding to show up.

"Anything for you Jughead, I really like you," I said and he smiled and we kissed in front of my truck. Just us under the full moon, with his arms around my neck and my hands on his waist pulling him closer as the kiss became more passionate.

I pulled away and looked him in his ridiculously pretty eyes. "Be my boyfriend?"

Jughead looked shocked, then his expression changed to a smile. "Ok, I mean how could I say no to Archie Andrews star football player," he said jokingly. I chuckled and we continued kissing until Jughead heard his dad inside asking for him.

"I better go, see you later,"

I kissed him again quickly, still wanting to feel his lips on mine. But I knew I could wait, I had to, it would be selfish of me to keep going and have his dad catch us. One day that'll change, and I'm willing to wait for it. I'd do anything for Jughead Jones.

I might even be falling in love with him. Shit.

Then, I got an alert on my phone.

New message from JuggieJones

It read:

I smiled and replied back.
