SURPRISE PART 1

JUGHEAD'S POV

I know Archie has something planned for my birthday. I'm not stupid. Archie is just too adorable when he's excited, so when he picked me up all smiles and giggles I just let it play out. Now, we're just about close to his place, and I can sense how nervous he's getting.

I never make my birthday a big deal, the last time I celebrated it was when I turned 8. That year was when my mom and sister moved out. After that I never liked my birthday, my dad even forgot my 12th but I didn't mention it because he was too drunk to remember it.

But now, I have a boyfriend who is literally more excited for my day of birth than myself. It's really nice to have people who care for once.

"Ok, we're here. My dad just wanted to say happy birthday to you and then we can go to Pops,"

I just agreed with what he said, and when he opened the door the lights were off. I hope this isn't what I think this is.

"SURPRISE!!!!"

I just stood there in shock as all my friends jumped out from behind Archie's furniture. The whole place was decorated with blue and yellow streamers, and there was a burger cake on a table with other foods and drinks.

"Jug, you ok?" Archie asked and I snapped back into reality. He was smiling but had a bit of fear in his eyes.

I forced a smile and nodded convincingly, "Yes, um wow... this is uh, great. Thanks guys,"

Archie bought it. I felt bad, but he looked so cute and proud of this party he planned for me. "Ok, present time!" Betty announced and shoved a huge box my way.

The wrapping paper had little pugs on them, and I chuckled and opened the top. Inside was a framed photo of me and Archie with our ship name on it with rainbow glitter, a Pink Floyd vinyl, and a gift card to Nike.

"Wow Betty, thank you," I said and she hugged me. Then, Ronnie gave me her gift. It was a folder filled with polaroid's of all of us, mostly of me and Archie.

"Thanks V, these are great," I said and she smiled.

Kevin got me GQ magazine, and Captain America Civil War on DVD. "Kev, thank you. I'll watch this everyday," I smiled. This party isn't so bad, Archie definitely did a great thing.

"Me next," Archie said and he got up from the couch and brought over a box that seemed pretty heavy.

"So, I know how much you love animals and I spent about a week looking for this. Happy birthday baby,"

I saw the box moving, and I opened the lid and a puppy's head popped up from the box. It barked and licked my hand. I was grinning like mad, and picked up the puppy and held it in my arms.

"Babe, I can't believe you got me a puppy. Thank you," I said and leaned in to kiss him.

Everyone 'awed' and Betty reached over to pet the puppy. "What are you going to name him?"

"Hotdog," I said instantly and before anyone could react the doorbell rang.

"I got it," Archie said and got up to answer the door.

Then, I heard Cheryl's voice and a bunch of people coming into the house.
