How often was Namjoon going to come over to Yoongi's and Seokjin's dorm? Their babbling were so annoying when Yoongi wanted to be alone, and Yoongi always wanted to be alone. Why did he even bother coming here when he could spend the rest of his death back at home in that dusty attic without a care in the world?

He peeked through the door to the swimming pool, smiling pleasantly when there wasn't a person in sight. He loved to look at water when he was alone, or other calm things. The way water ripples is so satisfying, and the effect the Sun has on them is just so perfect Yoongi could taste the perfection.

"Yoongi-hyung!" A head burst out from under the water, making Yoongi groan at the voice. "Hyung, why'd you come here?" Hoseok asked, "I thought you'd be back in the dorms or something." Yoongi moved as far away from the apparently occupied pool as possible. "Those two lovebirds are occupying the room now," he said, "and I'm probably gonna head somewhere else now that I see you're occupying this place."

Hoseok's jaw fell when he saw Yoongi turn around to leave before he reached out a hand. "Wait, hyung!" He pouted, "Come in the water with me! Swimming's over already, and I'm bored because everyone left!" Yoongi stared at him with a confused expression reading 'what are you fucking thinking, dumbass?' but also 'I guess I could give it a try...'

"Hyung, are you okay?" Hoseok asked after a moment of Yoongi staring at him that way, "The water's fine! It's just like going into a liquid wall!" If Yoongi was still alive, he would feel his cheeks get hotter and redder. "See, Hoseok..." he confessed, "since I died last year... I haven't actually, well, gotten into any forms of water... at all..."

Hoseok smiled softly. "It's okay," he said with a reassuring grin as he kicked his legs excitedly underwater, "it's a new experience for you, then! Come on, get in! I'm bored!" Hoseok stretched out his hand to grab Yoongi's almost invisible ankle and pull it into the pool, his hand only going through it. Yoongi scoffed with a small smirk as he headed over slowly. He crouched down, his kneecaps going straight into his chest, as he dipped a few fingers into the water. It disappointed him how the water wouldn't ripple around his fingers, but he was relieved it didn't because the water had such a calming look when it didn't.

"It's okay, isn't it?" Hoseok smiled at him. Yoongi nodded slowly and slowly sunk his whole hand underwater. The water only went through his hand, and there wasn't any resistance at all. It felt completely different from how it felt when he was alive. He wanted to feel the cold water against his pale skin, he wanted to be sunk down to the bottom of the ocean from his body weight. He wanted his limbs to be chained to anything that weighed him down, and he wouldn't be able to move out of those shackles as he sank down to the bottom of the sea, sinking, sinking...

Wait, what?

Without a second thought, Yoongi got up and pulled his hand out of the water. He dipped his toes in, then his foot, and soon his legs were devoured by the water, and afterwards the rest of his body was hidden under the water. Hoseok pulled his head underwater to look right into Yoongi's eyes. "Isn't it nice, hyung?" Hoseok's gurgled voice asked, every word coming out with a few bubbles. "I guess?" Yoongi felt the ends of his lips curl up in delight, "I mean, it's not like I remember it being, but it's alright."

Yoongi looked below both of them, jaw hanging at how deep the pool was. "How deep even is this thing?!" He gasped. Hoseok laughed. "Very deep, I think," he said, "wanna swim to the bottom?" Before Yoongi even got the chance to nod, Hoseok was already making his way to the bottom. Yoongi found that he was much faster, without the water having any resistance against his movements. He didn't even have to swim, he could just move like usual. It really was just like going through a regular wall.

"Hobi," Yoongi began, "do the chemicals in the pool harm you or anything?" Hoseok grinned at the older boy. "That's just it," he said, "this pool doesn't have chemicals. This one's filled with saltwater, but the other one next to this pool is freshwater." Yoongi took a moment to understand what Hoseok was saying, the water making it hard for him to decipher his words. "Is the other one the pool that the others use?" Yoongi asked curiously. He never really knew much about all the facilities at school. He could never use them, anyway. He usually stayed in class when everyone went for PE, because what was the point of keeping your body healthy when it was rotting underground right now?
