Taehyung groaned as he pulled himself back up and onto his feet, giving up on cheking under the bed. "What are you even looking for?" Namjoon asked as he entered their bedroom. "None of your business," Taehyung sang as he moved over to the desk to search there.
"Well, just don't touch any of my stuff," Namjoon yawned as he climbed up onto the top bunk, almost instantly falling asleep once he lay down comfortably. Taehyung nodded silently, shoving his own things away as he continued searching. Up until now he never really realized how messy the desk was, but he didn't care at the moment. Right now, all he wanted to do was search, search all the shelves, search every nook and cranny there was in their dorm.
Namjoon breathed in and out, slowly and deeply, trying his best to fall asleep even with Taehyung's loud shuffling of incomplete homework and stationery. He twisted and turned in bed for what seemed to be forever, but Taehyung was still at it. He groaned and turned to face Taehyung, rubbing his sleepy eyes at the bright desk lamp. "Tae," he croaked, "what are you even—"
Namjoon's sleepy, half-lidded eyes instantly went wide when he saw what was in Taehyung's hand. A bronze locket, so large it was probably half the size of a palm, laying uselessly in Taehyung's hand. Taehyung turned to look at Namjoon when he heard the elder wake up. "Don't touch that!" Namjoon scolded, pointing at the locket. Taehyung looked down at the locket in his hand then back at Namjoon. "You mean this thing?" He asked. "Yeah, that's mine!" Namjoon scolded, making Taehyung sigh and shrug, putting the locket back onto the table carelessly, nearly letting it slip out of his hands and fall onto the table.
"Don't treat it like that, God!" Namjoon could feel his hair brushing along the back of his neck slowly as he stared right into Taehyung's eyes. From his feet all the way up to every strand if hair on his head, Taehyung's body was transformed into stone in the blink of an eye. Namjoon felt his face turn a bright red before bowing his head. "Sorry," he apologized, getting off the bed, "that thing's just really important and valuable, I don't wanna risk you breaking it."
Taehyung stayed still, but Namjoon knew he was fully aware of every single word Namjoon was saying. Namjoon smiled a little at Taehyung as he picked up the bronze locket and he stared into Taehyung's eyes. For a second, just a split second, he could see his own parents through Taehyung's eyes. No, now wasn't the time to think about them. "Night, then," Namjoon yawned as he got back into bed and finally managed to get some peace and quiet.
Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung were waiting impatiently at their regular lunch table, tapping their fingers on the table as they waited for the others to arrive. After what they swore was an eternity, Jungkook finally spotted Hoseok and Yoongi rushing over through the crowd. "Yoongi-hyung!" Taehyung called, "Hoseok-hyung! Where're the other two?" Hoseok took a seat next to Jimin and across Taehyung and Jungkook, Yoongi settling down right next to him.
"Joon said he's got student council stuff going on," Hoseok chuckled, "but Yoongi-hyung and I found him and Seokjin-hyung sitting outside together!" Yoongi laughed wildly, "Those two are meant for each other! They spend practically every single second together!" Jimin smiled and rested his head in his hands. "Come on," he said, "maybe they're just really close friends."
"Yeah, really close friends," Taehyung coughed, "more like literal soulmates!" The table burst into laughter, the image of Namjoon and Seokjin having a romantic honeymoon together stuck in their heads. "Let's wait for them," Jungkook stifled his laughter to talk properly, "we can tell them the plans for their wedding!"
Seokjin and Namjoon didn't head to the canteen, however, and by the time lunch ended none of them even saw the two. They did, however, turn up for class afterwards (Namjoon couldn't risk skipping class after being crowned as the school's best student) but disappeared again once school ended, leaving the others suspicious of them, especially Jungkook and Taehyung.
